Sporting Clube de Portugal - Dirty Horrible Huns

Europa League, Round of 32 (Second Leg)
    [First Leg 1-1]

    Local: José Alvalade Stadium, Lisbon
    Date: Thursday, 24 February 2011
    Time: 18H00 (Local Time)
    Referee: Paolo Tagliavento (ITA)

Sporting Lisbon is experiencing one of its worst phases of the last seasons. With an outgoing president, a team with poor quality,as well as a terrible coach, Sporting is already out of the fight for the title of Portuguese Champion and also out of the fight from the second place that gives access to champions league and struggling to maintain third place in the league table.
Last Monday in Alvalade, Sporting received his old rival Benfica and lost by two to zero. But in the stands Alvalade existed moments of terror when the police made two assaults on members of the organized Sporting supporters "Juventude Leonina", abusing their authority and beating up everybody including women, children and the elderly. Sporting enthusiasts responded by attacking members of the police, causing them to retreat.
Its in this climate of tension with the forces of authority that Sporting fans will see the game today against the Rangers.

I'm thinking about sticking my last £180 on under 2.5 goals @ 4/6 (payday tomorrow anyway. Was going to do it for the first leg too, dunno why I didn't.

Seems a bit convenient that after Davie Weirs horror show at the weekend he's unavailable for this game due to food poisoning picked up since arriving in Portugal..

Radio Scotland saying he's recovered and could be passed fit to play now..

Years of bad management by the Sporting presidents who invested really badly in players and coach's. But don't compare the Huns with Sporting. Sporting is way better. Even when Sporting is worse. :icon_mrgreen:

You won't need to do any baiting towards the huns..
They will likely cause trouble regardless because they expect to be treated like kings wherever they go , and a country with an 84% population of catholics won't sit well with them..

When they kick-off , Just stand back and admire your police playing a game of "skelp a hun"..
