Sign him up long term - better wages and huge buy out clause. Not interested in selling him at all, regardless of the fee. As someone else pointed out recently, how many quality LBs are there out there? For me, Emilio is one of the best in the world - he must be otherwise the likes of man u wouldn't be looking. He's happy at CP and has no desire to move. No brainer for all concerned. Other teams, don't waste your time!!!

weve been crying out for a left back for years we finally get one and bhoy hes goooood :) but now theres loads of talk of him leaving already be smart celtic is all ill say i would hold firm and ask for more than 10 if they dont pay they dont get simple as tht ! we dont need to sell our best players cheap just because were in a * league and in some debt we can get more than 10 if we hold out im pretty sure of it . the english teams are rediculous with money 10 mill is nothing to them

You get comment of the night from me, I pointed out that you dont get any quality left backs for the price we got izza, & your right, why would we have teams like man u, arsenal, liverpool etc looking at our 550 thousand pound player ? You cant buy that at tesco!

Aswell, celtic dont realise this is probally the best left back we've had in 6 -7 yearss ? We where stuck with lee naylor for a bit, boy you cant compare naylor to izza! All football teams think about is money!

Thats what i was pointing out earlier, they think they can bully us out of money, we need to start keeping out good players and competing for the big bhoys trophies aka Champions League

Seriously though, just calling it like it is. He's too good to sell. Sometimes you get players who you start on rely, however are better off without - a la McGeady & co. How many fans wanted to see Aiden stay? Yet look at us now...
As for Izzy, he's not one to fall into that category. He's definitely one to keep and hopefully for a very long time at that.

OUr debt means * all compared to the amount we WILL lose selling Izza (and the our other best players).
If we sell it's a short-time fix. If we can keep this actual team together then we can make what? Maybe 5-10X as much in a single season rather than buttons just now.

WE CAN'T SELL IZZA!!!!!!!!! (nor Kayal, Hooper or..... Forrest)

We got £10M for Aiden. If we get offered in that region for Izzyguire I think we will sell him.We are a selling club, and we can't afford to stand still, as our competitors won't either. It's the nature of things : wheeling and dealing, to make sure the club stays a viable proposition to the shareholders. Success breeds success, and we can always unearth other gems in the future as nobody is indispensable in this business.

Hmm, I think rather we have just had to be a bit cleverer with the scouting - which with Hooper, Kayal, Emilio has happened.

I'd say Lennon saw that a team full of internationals in the rough and tumble of Scotland wasn't working (no Fortune, and others anymore whose names I've honestly forgotten because a year is a long time esp with what has gone in and out of lennoxtown in the past 13 months) and set about buying the best he could in terms of British players - and in Mulgrew and Stokes he got 2 of the best.

But I do agree with the rest of your sentiment.

Personally, I hope Kayal and Emilio stay another year - especially if we have champions league football - as they'd be a big part of the tournament and I honestly think this squad if it keeps going the way it will be in Europe after Xmas again.

A lot of people here are under the impression that it is our decision if Izzy stays long term. Many players use clubs as a stepping stone to a bigger club. If Izzy commits to a long term contract(6 more years) then that would be fine do not sell.
But if Izzy refuses to sign a contract extension the what?
