Ma mate works for AC and he was telling me last week that since the VAT has went up 2.5% they have put their labour rates up from £50 per hour to £68 per hour. That's a 34% increase! So take out the 2.5% and it's 31.5%

Is that not * scandalous! Here we all are * struggling to keep houses, jobs, eat well and so on, not to mention that with the state of the road we're far more likely than ever going to need work done out with MOT and servicing.

    Is that not profiteering!?!?!?

The arseholes will get away with it as well.

    Robbing *.

I'm lucky that my old man used to be a mechanic and has a mate who has his own garage so I save a bit money on the motoring front.

I would never buy a car from ac again , their after sales is non shocking.
Once you have drove out of the showroom and they have their money they don't want to know you.

total cowboys, went to work for them a few years back was ok at first but got to know very quickly how much of a shoddy operation they are running so just quit and got ma old job back, £80 per hour labour where i work now think ac are just trying to make a turn as they have always been so cheap..
