Nope nothing, check out SkyScraperCity and it gives you details of all developments going on in Glasgow, nothing about planning permission etc for Celtic Park.

apparenty when the plans for the jock stein stand and the lisbon lions stand was approved, the plans included two new teirs above the main stand so it passed along with them.
i think there should be a debenture scheme or funds from investors to build it, 24,000 extra seats would increase what we spend on the players contracts, season ticket reciepts at £500 would bring in an extra £10million
bricks and mortar the best investment

You'd be in the clouds!!! I think if anything it should be the south stand thats extended, or even money put to covering up some of those horrible pipes and ventilation tubes inside the stadium. Wee lash a paint as well......make it cosy....

Celtic have planning permission to do work on the main/south stand ,the work is mainly to the entrance and the facade which is to be replace with green and white marble ie hoops there is no planning permission to increase the capacity, they got this permission more than 3 years ago and it was widely coved in the press ,if you go to the planning dept you can ask to see the plans

It would be good seeing 70,000-80,000 at Parkhead every week.

    2004 Annual Report

The UEFA five star stadium status plan is well under way, stadium expansion isn't apart of this but I think once this status is achieved, Celtic will try to get a European Final by telling UEFA that they'll upgrade the capacity of the stadium to 80,000 for it.

I'd bet your house on it!

You wouldn't get that many. I reckon 65000 would be about tops. It's never full just now apart from Rangers and games like Tuesday's. There seem to be tickets available for almost all games.

It'll be great for euro matches, but i'm not sure if it'll get too many in for regular matches.

Brian Quinn said at the AGM that it wouldn't now because of £££ but i'm encouraged with Dempsey's post

Yeah, i remember Brian Quinn saying it wouldnt be worthwhile financially. If it was guaranteed sell out every week then it would be done.

If we win another few games in the Champions League that price tag will probably keep going up. But it would be great to see the stadium expanded so we had a nice 2 tiers all the way around.
I agree that we would not sell out every week if say capacity went up to 75,000. Maybe the regular gate for games in the league would be in the low 60's but obviously all big games would sell out so by the time you add it all up I don't think it is unreasonable to say we would up our average gate by say 10,000 and that's significant extra cash into the kitty.
