MOST of Scotland's top bands will be backing Celtic in today's Old Firm cup tie, according to The View guitarist Peter Reilly.
And the Dundee outfit would love to celebrate a victory over Rangers by playing a double bill at Celtic Park with fellow Hoops fan Paolo Nutini.
Peter said: "You don't get a lot of Rangers fans among Scottish musicians. The only ones I can think of are Wet Wet Wet and that says it all.
"I think it's because Celtic have always had more of a bohemian, outsider image because of their history."
He revealed how The View, who release their new single Grace tomorrow, have dreamed of teaming up with Nutini at their favourite team's ground.
He added: "When we meet up with Paolo Nutini, who is a good friend of mine, we always talk about playing a joint headliner at Celtic Park.
"That would be really living the dream.
"I met Paolo a few years ago because we move in the same circles and it's always good to meet another Scot on the road."
Even on tour, the band make sure they keep up with Celtic's fortunes.
Peter said: "We've played on tour with Primal Scream a few times, and they're all big Celtic fans as well.
"A few years back we even had a TV at the edge of the stage when we were playing a gig with them at Liverpool University.
"We were watching the second half of the Champions League game against Manchester United and we were in the middle of a song when Nakamura scored that free kick from more than 30 yards.
"Primal Scream's bass player Mani, who was in The Stone Roses, is also a massive United fan so his face was tripping him the rest of the night."

Is the guy with the curly hair out the View a Celtic fan?

I am 99.9% sure I seen him at the Man Utd V Celtic game at Old Trafford a few years back, him and his brother were sitting next to me. I knew they were from Dundee and him and his brother had Dundee accents. Its always annoyed me that I never asked him but ive always been sure it was him.

edit : i think they used to go to tannadice as well though because they're local, i think one of them might be a united fan.

 

Im certain it was him, looked his name up there Kyle Falconer im talking about. We were in with the away fans and I was with my dad and were talking to them all through the game but none of us asked. Then when we were leaving I said to my dad "who did you think that was" and he said "that singer out the view" and I said "im sure that was him aswell" he looked exactly like him and they had dundee accents. Its always annoyed me that I never found out if was him or not

 

Love the View, saw them live and they blew me away.
