Do you think Lennon over rates hims? Going by the quotes in the link below i think he does. I don't think he's a bad player i just think with everyone fit he wouldn't be in my starting team, but the way Lennon is talking he's like the first name on teamsheet!

What Lennon siad:

“I thought Joe was absolutely brilliant against Aberdeen on Tuesday, from start to finish.
“I also thought he was brilliant at Hampden on Saturday. Even though we took our foot off the pedal second-half, Joe kept us playing and going by getting the ball back.
“His overall performance against Hearts last week was also superb. So, in his last three games, he has probably been our main player.”
Because of the particular job he does, Ledley has been harshly described by some as the water carrier of the side.
Lennon disagrees. “Joe’s a little bit more than that. He is a little bit more elegant as well.
“He reads the game very well and has a great passing range. He is also a good size and has good athleticism.
“We are delighted with him and the form he is showing.”

 

Not a bad player atol... not as good as everyone makes him out to be but he does a solid job and I think we are a stronger team with him in it

 

He IS as good as everyone gives credit for. People don't notice the work he does when we play, hardly puts a foot wrong; and works box-to-box: tackling, passing and moving.

 

Joe Ledley is brilliant in my eyes. Box to box the full game, never puts a foot wrong and his passing is always top notch. A real unsung hero.

 

Lennon sings the praises of all the players, which can only be good for confidence.

However, if Ki comes back in, Ledley would be the one to drop.

Always seem to forget he is on.... Good player just not what I was expecting ?

 

Joe Ledley has been great for us lately. Most of the work he does goes a little bit unnoticed. He's not a spectacular player but every side needs a Joe Ledley type player in midfield, winning balls and doing the dirty work for the more creative players.
That said Kayal has a bit of everything, he wins balls,works hard and can create, so in my opinion Kayal has been the best player the last few weeks. But Ledley deserves his place in midfield alongside Kayal

 

UNDER-rated.

 

Ledley hasn't of yet stamped his mark on the Celtic team...

But, people tend to forget this is a guy who has not long left the only club he has known, who nurtured him as a boy and is now trying to settle into a new life with his young family, away from all his family in Cardiff.

He has been slowly progressing with his standards in the team. Yes, some of his performances have been lacklustre at times but he IS a good player!

I have no doubt that, perhaps towards the end of this season, and into next season, we shall be seeing Joe Ledley turning in the same performances for us that he did for Cardiff

Not necessarily true mate, he used to sing the praises of Fortune and N'Guemo all the time

 

hes a class act. keeps it simply thats why people i feel think hes not good but this is why he is good does the easy thing which is often to hard for normal players to do. Plus it was only last season he had a double hip op so he is only going to improve.

 

i think he is the kind of player that always looks quiet but is doing alot of work.
he never really loses the ball. and i think we are starting to see a little more from him.
with kayal beside him he is starting to find a bit more room and i wouldnt be surprised if he really started to show what he is really capable of in the next few games

 

Needs to start getting some shots away. Lennon should let him have a look at some videos of the old Petrov !

 

Joe Ledley seems to know how to bring a balance to the midfield no matter who he is playing with.
