I like a lot of turntablism, hip hop beats etc but the only rapper ive liked in the last ten years is probably mc abdominal. Have to go back to de la, gangstarr, nwa etc for stuff i like, all this lil wayne, drake stuff is brutal.

Still one of my favs [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_ruFGlxFtQ"]I Checks My Bank - Sir Mix A Lot (lyrics) - YouTube[/ame]

I download one of his mix tapes a while ago and it was actually quite good he did a remix of wonder wall and had big krit as a feature and it was a cracker along with a remix of one of adeles tracks. I'm still not a big fan of his mainstream releases or mix tapes but that one I have to admit I really enjoyed the layover it was called

Edit- it's mainly his beats that I like interns of lyricism he is shocking but it's the same with so many like drake lil Wayne and the majority of mainstream artists they become successful because of the production on there albums if they didn't have those beats they would never become successful and at least posner makes his own beats the majority of them don't have a clue about production. Take drake for example if his best friend wasn't so good a producer then drake would never have been heard of

I dont even like the production of the vast majority of what is passing for hip hop these days, it sounds the same as any other pop artist to me, only with attempts at rapping rather than mindless singing lyrics. Ill be honest and say i really havent paid much attention to the scene in recent years as i listen far more to electronica and turntablism etc, but none of the rappers out there just now impress me too much, none of the new ones anyway. The only song with beats ive heard recently i didnt mind is the newest from Public Enemy. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCx5Std7mCo"]Harder Than You Think [OFFICIAL VIDEO] - YouTube[/ame]
