xavi or iniesta

Been thinking about this one for a while.

Very hard decision as they are both essential to barca and unreal to watch.
I must say though I think Iniesta edges it just about as I think he more versatile and can beat people easier.

Opinions lads?

 

think they are slightly different players, xavi tends to sit deeper and dictate play from their whereas iniesta is more advanced and in and around the box. id probably say that xavi edges it for me, but both will be remembered as legends of the game.

 

Xavi for me, I think Paul Scholes is the player that's closest to him in terms of play-making and even he doesn't come close.

They are different types of players, Iniesta is more comparable to players like Silva, someone who dribbles regularly and gets into more advanced positions but is also looked at as a play-maker.

I think both Xavi and Iniesta are the best at what they do.

 

xavi is the best passer of the ball in history imo so yeah xavi.

2 different players but I'd say Xavi as he is more important to Barca

Iniesta is more of a playmaker and they have more than enough quality in that area

I think they would find it difficult to replace the role of Xavi if he left.

Xavi definitely. When he doesn't play you can really see Barcelona struggle to create as many chances as they do with him pulling the strings. He is without question their most important player in terms of creating chances and bossing the game in the midfield, and the same goes for the national team. There aren't many games where Xavi's passing accuracy dips below 90%, which is incredible considering the level they are playing at.

Iniesta plays higher up the pitch and while he is still vital to the way Barcelona play, a midfield of Busquets, Keita and Xavi will still be better than any other midfield on the planet, without Xavi the passing isn't quite as crisp and the trademark defense splitting passes aren't as frequent.

 

Xavi and Iniesta are different IMO
