    disappointing.
i understand how much he was angry after he had found the japanese imperialistic flag (japaese version of swastika)
but what he did in his celebration was almost exactly same as the noise some of st.johnston fans made to him a couple of months ago.
at that time, his teamates(including cha), lennon and even korean fans were furious and tried to defend him from monkey noise attack.
if he wanted to criticise those japanese imperialism, he should have taken other actions far from racism that he was offended by.
it was a really sensative behavior that could be easilly misunderstood
    regardless of his original intention...

however, most korean people's reactions are very affirmative toward ki.
they think the flag triggered this issue and the japanese spectators who raised the flag must be punished first before talking about ki's punishment by FIFA or AFC.

He's very young and he has to learn from this. But he does need to remember that he is the professional here.

He's only a boy. Stupid mistake and heat of the moment.

Almost certain he'd have felt sheepish upon reflection.

Anyway. You make mistakes and learn from them. Sure he'll be more responsible in future.

Here is a clip. It says Korean's apparently insult the Japanese by calling them monkeys. Don't know why tho.

Poor show by Ki, but understandable. As someone said earlier it is a very fierce rivalry between the 2 countries.

    Absolutely not.

I personally call very HUN who waves about a butcher's apron, and calls me a * * a monkey.

And, how exactly can it be racist if, he himself is Asian:97:

I dont think its a big deal. I trust Ki has good judgement even if this is a bit unnecessary.
Also I wouldnt call it rascism.

Glad to see i'm not the only one who really fails to see what Ki's offence was? granted Korea and Japan have a bit of a fierce rivalry so perhaps there is a bit of edge to the game

wouldnt be suprised if some lurking hun journo picked up on this and its in the sun or the record tommorow under CELTIC STARS RACIST SHAME!!!!!!!

i wouldnt bet against it! :87:

It's no racism - as stated previously. Maybe a bit offensive but so are the flags that were getting brandished.

By all accounts Ki is a decent bloke - to tag him as a racist because of this is pretty shocking imo.
