His link up with izzy was good today just poor decision making at times trying to take his man on and shooting rather than looking for the pass.it could be lennys instructions to him which would mean he is receiving unfair criticism

For me,Paddy's a great impact player...best when introduced to a game with about 20-30mins left to play.

They have only stuck by him because there is no one else to play that position atm, not because he has been in great form! I Wonder what his stats over the last 7-8 he has started have been, I think they would be pretty dismal to be honest, he's not contributing anything to the team at present and there is no way we should start him against hearts!

He's tired. The sooner we can get Ki back, the better. Paddy can maybe play 90 minutes now, but his contribution suffers, then. If Lennon would play Crosas as the creative MF, and introduce Paddy as a sub, that would be good.

totally over-rated , good player and scores good goals , but too many * times he does not open his * eyes and look for the pass or lay some one in . instead he goes for the wonder goals .

The fact he is Irish means he gets the support no matter what and can not do any wrong , he has been * dire lately and offers nothing to the side , better used as a impact sub for me ,

His fitness is a lot better and he has worked well but still do not see why he is the starting 11 now as he has been dire . drop him and get Freddie in there.

I have watched him today and over the last few games of his since he has started, he is another player who is not consistant, blows hot and cold, when you watched Izzy and Kayal against dons today they have been like this and give 100% with skill and passing, Paddy is too greedy and Stokes should learn to pass to team players when they are in a better position, Paddy today was rank rotten in the first half lost the ball too many times and put the defence into making mistakes:38:

Paddy has an unbelievable passing ability, he only gives it away because the passes he tries are eye of the needle stuff and if they come off we will have a chance at goal! He is getting trebled up on but we need to look at ways to exploit that as there must be lots of space somewhere else!

I thought he had a few good passes today that were close to going through on goal, he also got couple corners by going by defenders. He seems to be back tracking quite a bit and playing defense as well. Saw him break up quite a few counter attacks today. He's not a bad player and people expect too much of him.

I think your a bit harsh with you "utter balls" comment but I can see where your coming from. Sometimes instead of beating 3 men or trying to the play the spectacular pass, he should play it simple. He does alot of hard work tho. Due to his goals being amazing alot of fans expect it every week.

Don't want amazing goals everyweek just 100% graft and if you consider his last few games as 100% then you are in the same bracket as Lennon

Paddys been average for several games, but so have all of our wingers. None of them have set the world alight (maybe were playing through the middle to much?).

I think paddy would do better on the right wing in front of wilson so that he can concentrate on attacking, and let wilson handle the defending. On the left wing hes constantly dropping back to cover the gaps that Iza leaves when hes bombing forward (and fair play to McCourt, his defendings improved) and we dont see the best out of him attacking wise.

If Maloney is fit he would be my first choice on the left, and hopefully forrest will overcome his dip in form and be the right winger we all hope he can be. McCourt can be a sub able to play on either wing or behind a forward (or start games if any of the player in those three positions are injured).

Did nobody notice him losing the ball, chasing the player back and then making a crucial tackle in the box?

Paddy has proven that he has an all round game, but he's just not got a world-class game and some fans won't accept that. He loses the ball sometimes, but I'd rather watch a player trying to create something and losing the ball than Ledley and the centre-backs passing the ball between them with no urgency or penetration.

Paddy makes teams * themselves and that's why there's 3 players around him anytime he's on the ball. Once we figure out how to exploit that, we'll be able to use him better. As it stands, he still has good passing ability and offers a goal threat.

He's a hundred miles ahead of McGinn; Forrest is too young to be expected to be consistent; Maloney's never available; Ljungberg is old and yet to prove he has anything to offer.

Who are people wanting us to play instead of Paddy?

    EDIT:
Also, I thought the link-up between Emilio and Paddy on the left-wing was our best attacking option by far today. It was this link-up that led to the goal.

The bit you have highlighted ,,im talking about since the day they bought Paddy ,after a few months many a manager would have called time on him and sent him packing ,but they stuck by him because he is quality .

His stats over the last 7-8 games ,,what do you want from him ,people moaned he was'nt fit but lasted 20 mins and scored wonder goals ,now he is fit people are saying he is * ,thats crap for a start ,3 players around him tells me a different story ,that says that the opposition manager has respect for him as a quality player .

You say he is only playing because there is noone else to step in ,you kidding ,the guy is there on merit and he has worked his socks off to get to be where he belongs ,Maloney,McGinn ,etc they are not in his league ,if you turn round and say thats rubbish and Maloney should be there first when fit ,ill disagree with you ,,he is a passenger in that team and often or not in the bigger games he goes AWOL. Mon the Paddy.

See if he scored a wondergoal today, would you still be moaning about his "graft"? I doubt it.
