Massive game on wednesday now. we will have to step it up from today if we want to take all 3 points, as hearts will be brimming with confidence. but we got the job done today and thats all that matters.:shamrock:

Forrest and Ljungberg have to come in for Paddy and McGinn on wednesday.

Paddy still offers a threat but Niall is doing nothing for us at the moment

I had visions of the 1-1 Dundee Utd game coming into my head from as early as 30 minutes from time.. Was thinking one high ball into our box from a set-piece and we'll not recover.. Sometimes we look as though we are trying to play out time , yet when it was the final couple of minutes and we are comfortably holding posession down by the corner flag we then try and run it into their penalty box and give them one last chance to put us under pressure.. Happy with the points but not with that 2nd half performance..

I hope Hooper has a bit more to come , especially pace wise because I felt he was probably favourite to get to the ball near the end before Langfield , who cleared it..

A centre half and striker still required this transfer window otherwise we're going to have many more patchy performances like today before the season is out..

Think that's mainly because of the good pressing we had in the first half :50:

That was a huge 3pts even though it was torture for 45mins !!Now if we can tame the mini-huns on wednesday it puts the scum under real pressure !!

hooper should be punted how dare he not score:bbpd:

sersiouly though i know it sounds strange but the second Maj was off the game changed completley i think it felt like him coming off gave the dons a bit of believe due to Mulgrew being out of posistion in a sense and Rogne still kinda raw

Only saw the last 10 minutes, we looked a bit ragged and like we were hanging on.

Still, 3 points and a good Saturday all round. :50:

Race is on to get a decent centre half before Wednesday, although I would have no hesitations about putting Matty Hughes beside Rogne he's brilliant, Mulgrew was shocking.

three points against a resiliant aberdeen today, few players can be blamed for not putting a shift in but we got a result so happy days.

what was up with maj before he went off, he was off his game big time.

Well it's not a great job, but it's still a good one. Aberdeen was somewhat dangerous in the 2nd half but they haven't had any real chances, any clear shots on target so i can say that defensively we had a solid game, but also we played solid towards their goal and had a couple of shots and nice chances. McCourt got lost somewhat in the 2nd half so the creativity was lacking a bit, but Kayal was playing a good game, not many mistakes, was trying hard and creating chances for his teammates. Overall, im pleased with the performance, it was an average performance but it is a win and that's the most important thing right now since Rangers lost from Hearts. Also, nice to see Ljungberg's debut at Celtic Park, and he could've got an assist at the end, but unfortuntely it wasn't a goal. He is definately a valuable player for Celtic and will be an important one throughout the season.
