Who new should we sign in January?

Who new should we sign in January? What positions? I reckon back up full backs are needed and, depending on JFK's recovery, maybe a centre back. Would only go for really young gifted players no stop-gap veterans. In other positions where we have a really promising young guy on our books I would save our money and not bother.

that is all for me.for january.window. 3 signings.. possibly 5m for all... rememer .. close season we sold petrov for 8m .. spent in the region of 9m. so all in all weve only spent 1m ...so far.. theres money there alright .. and lawwell has stated. some is available for january.

Huntelaar to Celtic would be fantastic! And the swedish talent Rosenberg too. He could be the new Henrik Larsson

 

Poor Hibs but their players are the most tempting for the club with a modest budget. Brown,Thompson and Whittaker all are very good. I have seen Whittaker play some incredible games for Hibs. Did you see him at the weekend? He had an amazing game. I would be after him big time if it was not for having Wilson but Wilson is also excellent and there is nothing to choose between them. Dont think we could justify bringing Whittaker to sit on the bench though. Cant decide between Brown and Thompson, one has great energy and the other is more classy. Think we probably need Brown more though with Lenny running out of gas. If Kennedy breaks down, I would go for Russell Anderson if we are still in Europe and punt Bobo.

If he is as good as we heard, Kadlic would be a good idea as we just do not have anyone coming through to cover the left back position. He is also really young which is a plus point because we can do a Sno and gradually develop him.

 

Think Thomson would be more direct replacement for Lenny than Brown.
Willie McKay is the agent for both of them so you would think that would help any negotiations.Die hard celt.
Would prefer Tymoschuk to either tho think he's the player Thomson might become...has that Park fella from Hibs come to us yet or what??

Was reading that Kadlec hasn't played at left back for sparta prague for a while as he has been converted to a central defender by there manager.

 

That would mean Kadlic could kill two birds with one stone.

 

it would be stupid buyin any player other than a defender, we have enough lenny replacements sno and jarocik! if we want to mix it with the big boys we have to bulk up in defence its still very suspect!

 

For me I think the focus should be at the back with a new center back and a new full back. The biggest priority for me would be to try and bring in a top class center back.
