Whats the script with this guy? Will he ever play for Celtic again? Surely his contract is up during the summer?

doubt it m8 tore his cuciate ligiment i think at the start of the season and was to be out for about 9 months so he may come back for the last few games if fit, its a shame because i thought he was out most consistant defender for the last couple of years, he would have been sold if fit but looks like hel leave on a free at the end of the season and probably go back to germany

We were on the verge of selling him, apparently Lennon doesn't rate him for the high wage he is taking. The injury was a kick in the balls for all involved.

Andreas who? Oh that guy lol.. Personally I think he's finished mate, racked with injury and he's getting on a fair bit now, I think he'll go back to Germany.

Na he will be off, Lennon was touting him for sale until he got injured, big shame as i liked the guy, would have him at RB ahead of anyone else we have this season.

Met a bunch of lads from Stuttgart who were going to the game against Motherwell at Parkhead a few weeks back and they were all raving about Hinkel still.

I like Hinkel, he's been a very decent player for us and pretty consistent.

Hope he gets another game in the Hoops, before he inevitably goes back to Germany in the summer.

Hinkel's a steady enough player and is probably a better RB than Cha and Wilson.

Wilson is decent defensively but isnt good in an attacking sense.

Cha is decent attacking wise but has defensive short-comings.

Hinkel is decent enough at both so would get my vote as the best RB out of the three.

He's got a bad injury though - is on a big wage and is into his 30's now so letting him go in the summer would make sense.

    He's not into his 30's, he's 28.

Hope we give him a new contract, he's been very consistent for us, prefer him to wilson and cha.

Pretty sure he'll be offski, think his contract is up at the end of the season, he's been a fairly good player for us. I prefer Wilson though tbh.

I think he's definitely meant to be back before his contract is up, but with these ligament injuries i dont think you can ever really put a time on it, he did well for us, hope he still manages to be the player he was when he eventually does come back.

I think he's definitely our best RB. Hope Lenny comes to this realisation, as it would be terrible if he were to move on for nothing at the end of the season without getting the chance to prove himself with Lenny as boss. Hope his contract is renewed.

I would think he has incentive to sign on with us for a year or so. After this injury, I would assume many clubs that were previously injured would be reluctant to offer him a contract now.

Decent player but he's on a nice wage. If we get the chance to sell him before his contract expires would be good, but that would mean signing another decent right back.
