Hi this is my first thread so i hope it's a decent one :bbpd:

What Celtic memories do you have from youth? and i'm talking proper childhood here (up to 12). Either happy or Sad, I'll share a quite few of mine:
I started going to the games in 1997 and i was in a new stand (in a new stadium but not yet complete as i was the south-west and the jock stein stand wasnt there yet) but i remember before the season had started we got invited to look at our new seats from the pitch and that was a fun day going in the celtic park main entrance and then trying to find the way back out and we came across this big guy who my dad asked the way out, took a few minutes for me to realize it was Packie Bonner. I remember going to my first beam back game in 1999, i called it a bean bag game :56: also remember singing the henrik larsson mark viduka song at that game, remember shouting at andy goram both with rangers and motherwell. remember nearly getting hit by a stephane mahe clearance, stopping the 10 was a great year with its ups and downs and i'm proud to say that was my first season, remember the street parties and the massive huddles, remember invading the pitch after it and grabbing chunks of it. Remember Joke Broon :54: and also McCann getting booed, oh how we look back and see what he done for us. Remember "Who is Lubo Moravcik?" glad to say that stranger became one of our best friends :50:
Remember Super Caley :38:, Henke's leg break :( tosh mckinlay stookying henke, The old tops, blessed martin and his "i will do everything" and bhoy did he :celt_2:
Many more and if i remember i will post as i hope you do
what do you remember from your Celtic Bhoyhood?

Hail Hail Tom, 1997 98 was the year I first started going to games, great unforgettable year! Remember the FC Tirol Innsbruck and Liverpool games as well, winning the league cup at Ibrox.

1998 99 was came with much anticipation new manager Dr Joe, Champions League, defence of the title and it all came to naught. We also got to the Scottish Cup final which Rangers won garbage.

1999 2000 Another let down Barns fails miserably.

2000 2001 St Martin arrives! My best year ever! Treble Winners!!!:celt_2::shamrock::84::50:

Will Lennys Irish eyes be smiling before long!!:84:

My earliest memory was watching celtic beat rangers 2-0 at ibrox in 1994 when I was 7 & john collins scored that peach of a free kick n mcstay scoring n seeing ma granny so happy that celtic beat rangers n loved them ever since.
I started going in 1996 my first game was against hibs n we won 5-0 ill always remember how sunny it was that day. My first old firm that year aswell when laudrup scored early n gazza n van hooijdonk missing penaltys n never forget the fox on the pitch lol.

My first away game was in 1997 when we beat motherwell 3-2 when donnelly got the winner after being 2-1 down what a game. Most of my childhood evolved around celtic in school or at home they wer always in my head thinking about the next game or game i was just at it was great days when I was a kid n mostly coz of celtic.

Cant remember my 1st game as i was a kid back then but i think it was against the huns and we won or lost 1 nil. My childhood memories are all cracking one's . Back in the 80s when everyone was skint in belfast my da always made sure he brought me to glasgow. He's dressed up as a chef to get us on the boat, dressed up as a stewart to get us into the game's and hitched hicked from stranrar to glasgow. I remember being 8 years of age and singing happy birthday to celtic in our centenary year. I was standing in the jungle on teh day we called it the jungles last stand because it was about to get knocked down for the new stadium. I remember cup finals, wining leagues. I was there with my da and my wee sis when we stoped 10iar and we got in without any tickets. I also remember being at ibrox when we got beat 5-0 by them * and all my da's scots friends told him that not to bring me back again because i was a scud ,lol. Ive also got this memeroy of us * the huns with me standing behind the net at parkehad but i forget what the score was. But most of all i remember when celtic park had a cracking atmosphere with us singing all the republican songs there is and not a word said about it by our own fans, would love to see them days again

Was at Manchester Utd away when we got beat 3-2 and Naka scored a free kick. Turned out to be a good result though as it meant we qualified later on :celt_2:

Earliest Celtic memory I have was the shame game in 1999 when the scum won the league... I wasn't really watching the game, but my Dad was, I just remember seeing Dallas' face covered in blood. First started watching games properly in Seville season, but I have vague memories prior to that, like the 6-2 game, beating Livingston 5-1 to win the league, a 4-0 win against Dundee UTD around Christmas 2001 and that last minute Scottish cup final defeat to the huns.

    • Annoni's boots.
    • Mahe's hair.
    • Stuart Kerr duffing up to let Falkirk put us out of the cup in the replay.
    • Brattbakk stopping the huns.
    • Last game of the season - Celtic on one screen, Rangers on the other. Nail biting stuff.
    • Dallas shouting "Heeeeids!!" then wishing he hadn't after he caught it sweet on the forehead.
    • Henrik Larsson breaking his leg, which also resulted in me breaking down in tears :(
