Great cover for Stokes or Hooper..if he remains fit he could even sneak into Stokes spot in the starting XI. If this really is a loan to permanent deal then its a great one, test out a player with a history of injuries and if he can stay in one piece in this place then he will have a fantastic future ahead of him :50:

If he can stay fit no defense in the SPL could handle his pace. And I would much rather partner Hooper with a speedster who wreaks havoc then your stereotypical targetman.

Im relatively happy with this signing.

This guy was deemed as the next best thing too come out of Everton's youth academy but for one reason or another he's not quite realised that potential - not yet anyway.

He's not really a poacher or a goal-scorer but his all round play is good. Fast and quite strong - he could run-amok in the SPL though because of the standard.

I see him as a better alternative too Anthony Stokes - whom i dont see as a regular starter for us in the long term.

If the Mirror's too be beleived Everton rejected an 850k offer in order too let him come up here with us having an option of buying him permantently in the summer if he's a success.

Judging by the 250k ''loan fee'' for the 6month i'd imagine the fee is on the upwards of 2million which i dont mind if he's a relevation up here.

Sammy would seem too be on his way after this signing - which im glad about. A Sammy with his contract ticking down or a pre-contract signed elsewhere doesnt bare thinking about - considering his dedication as it is.

I can't say as I know this kid and it concerns me if this is the only striker we sign this window. We don't already have enough strikers who are not goal scorers? What if Hooper gets hurt again? We saw what happened there. We need a finisher IMO.
Enough of you seem to think he will be useful enough so I will welcome the lad if he comes, but hope for a proven scorer as well!

wouldn't be happy if this happens to injury prone and playing up here he is almost a certainty to get injured again. he isnt the type of striker we need either if hopper gets injured again we need a target man to partner stokes but who can also play as a lone striker in the games where we need 1. we also have two strikers who cant score so why do we need another 1 and thats what this lad would be another player with the talent but just dosnt do it consistently

We need a lightning quick forward, so this is a good signing. Good player with the ball too, think he'll do very well for us. Could be the signing that wins the League as I can see him scoring plenty of goals by getting round the back of defenders.

I think he has become underrated because he's hardly played through too many injuries. He's a decent lower end Premiership standard forward, similar to Kevin Doyle, Frazer Campbell, Andy Johnson and the likes.

How would you know? Its in tomorrows paper, so if it does happen it wont be announced by Celtic till tomorrow or maybe even the day after.

Decent young striker, chuffed with that. Need a center back or maybe 2 now that jos has gone. A permanent and a loan, not including Wilson becase i think we will have to wait to see him.

Was browsing the web some on him, found this:

    ToffeeWeb - Season 2010-11 - The MailBag

The op, plus a number of responders in the comments section, don't want to see him go.. think he's worth a run in the first team. Everton are currently 12th, suppose it could be desperation as much as anything, but encouraging from our point of view if we get him. I'm hoping the deal goes through, well worth a $250k gamble. A guy with so much promise, so many injury setbacks, he's got to have no end of hunger.

    Experience?

    Don't know !!!
Is this lad really that good? (If he's that good why do Everton want to send him out on loan, when they need all the help they can get to get out of their 'almost' relegation place in the EPL?)
Thought we needed experience upfront, as Hooper & Stokes are good enough, but do lack experience.
