[Link] sammy set to leave

Juventus are struggling this season and might not make the champs league. Although they have the money to buy a better player they have a massive wage bill that will need to be lowered in the coming years. Samaras is a useful addition until this wage bill is brought down (ie, when del piero and others leave) and I think Samaras is more suited to the SA with its slower tempo.

 

In one sense i hope he stays until the end of the season because when he's on form he is unplayable but then again do we risk keeping him for another 6 months, him playing * the majority of the time because he wants a move and ultimately lose him for nothing in june? It's a tough decision but one that will have to be made sooner or later by the player himself and the board...

 

Samaras is not training with the squad today, looks like he is off.

 

Tbh, we could really do without losing Sammy at this stage. We only have four strikers, one of whom is Daryl Murphy. So we have three strikers I'd be happy playing, and of those, only Hoops and Sammy look good as a lone striker.

Lose Sammy & we'll really be struggling...

 

If he goes i'd like to see us bring in another striker.

 

Keep Sammy!!! He gives us an option to tactically change things- we have 2 hun games coming up and we need to mix it up a bit at the front and keep auld Wattie guessing!!!!

Yeah it's Tony Mowbray's fault that Samaras is *. Whatever.

 

Sammy is only effective down the middle, but * started sticking him out wide and a think it knocked his morale a wee bit.

 

I really don't think he'll leave.

 

Please guys when are you going to come into the real world concerning Samaras ? I really can't understand some of your thinking here, Samaras, isn't and never will be Celtic class, he has had chance after chance to prove himself with us, and I seriously can't get my head round some of your thinking that because he scored two goals against the manky mob, that he has now transformed into a hero. In my opinion he is just a big wildebeast who hasn't even got a clue what he is going to do next. Aye, I will admit that he played a blinder that day against the huns, but why should we want to keep a striker or any other player for that matter, who will only give you a good game in say only one out of 5 or 6 matches, please dont tell me he is a team player too, he wastes more chances than anybody else we have got. Ask yourself this guys, is it really worth giving ANY player a contract who can only deliver the goods now and again ? Why should we prop up players who have a distinct possibility of consistancy ? We need, and, we deserve players who will do it week in and week out for Celtic, always remember who we are, and what we deserve, as Jock Stein once said " Celtic jerseys dont shrink to fit inferior players" And by the way Samaras isn't the only player who falls into this category.

Sammy is the only forward that I know can play at world class level one week then pub league the next (FRUSTRATING) :veryhappy::veryhappy::veryhappy:
