He seems to be under the radar or he wouldn't be going to Fiorentina for just over a million euro.

Dembele doesn't really strike me as a target man type. He's a strong lad but doesn't seem to throw his weight around as much as he maybe could.

Mitrovic is a lot more aggressive, maybe a bit too aggressive I suppose. But he's one of those players that plays on the edge.

You're right that he maybe doesn't suit Rodgers style, but you still need to have a different option. Nobody felt lambert would suit his style but he still felt the need to bring in that type of player at Liverpool

Like someone else said, I would happily sign Roberts on a permanent if it meant no more signings until next summer.

I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility.

Roberts signed for City for anything between £10million and £12million depending on what site you look up. So no way is he signing for anyone for £5million. Haven't stopped laughing after reading that yet :)

I thought a vast majority of the transfer fee City paid for him was add-ons, I'm sure I saw somewhere it was only a few million up front.

Regardless, they will not just sell him for £5m.

He is one of the hottest English talents about , why would they let him come to us for such a miniscule fee when you see Jordan Ibe going to Bournemouth for £15m ffs.:56:

I'm all for dreaming and I'd happily eat my words if it happened but some folk need to realise what market we are dealing with here.

If Pogba's worth 90-100 million then Roberts is worth 30.

i'd say almost zero chance of him ever coming here permanently unless player really pushed for it himself (i.e. running his contract down). Depends how he does here and if Pep sees him as a long term plan.

I doubt it. But if City have only paid £5 million up front so far and everything was dependent on addons. Pep doesn't see his future at city and the player really wants to come here. City MIGHT just be willing to let him come here for 5-7 Mil. Am I doing a better job convincing anyone else other than myself this may just happen? Lol

There's no logical reason for City to sell us Roberts before his loans ends, they may as well wait to see how he progresses knowing we're always going to be interested.

And there's no reason for Roberts to sign perminately yet he may as well wait till his loan ends and see all his options.

Very quiet on the transfer rumour front recently. Calm before the storm?!
Hopefully once we beat this mob tonight we'll be lining up a couple of quality additions.

Aye, once we confirm CL status then we'll bring one or two in :50:

Hopefully punt a couple as well.

Can't see a permanent deal for Roberts happening, too many riches in the EPL, if he does well this season someone in England would happily pay £15 million +,,our only chance to keep him is the hope that city do see him as a player for the future and allow us to extend the loan

I agree, whilst it would be good, one of them lower EPL or maybe even Championship teams would take him.

I think in all honesty he will see his future in England anyway if I'm being honest.

I'm just glad Forrest is doing so well and here's hoping he keeps it up, as it could soften the blow when he goes....................... if he can get back in the team, lol.

The problem with the super-rich English clubs is they can just stockpile players. I can't recall the exact number but Chelsea had a ridiculous amount out on loan last season.
