I got beers in to watch transfer deadline day, that will never happing again. What happened to the big signing, it's like the board are trying to wind the fans up, the bums on seat players sent being signed.
Nothing against grifiths he will do well I hope.
As for the Norwegian I believe he will be a great player just a bit underwhelming after being told they had plenty money having invested well the last few times.
Still gib the league but same story next season in Europe I'm afraid.

The LB from Dundee United, Robertson, looks like a cracking player. Will only get better.

John Soutar and Ryan Gould from Dundee United and also would be good to see Snodgrass here next season then all players considered we would have a pretty gd squad and cover in all positions.

I really rate Gauld. I think utd would hold out for £2m but I think it'd be worth the risk. I'd even go as far as paying them £4m for a duo deal for Robertson and Gauld.

Him staying at utd is the best for his development. Our timing needs to be right in making a move for him as he could end up in England by the next window. We haven't got a great track record for these type of scenarios.

My only issue with him would be where does he fit in? Next season we'll have Brown, Biton, Johansen, Mulgrew, McGregor, Forrest, Boerrigter and Kayal. That's not including Commons and Matthews who can play in midfield, Samaras who could be off and McGeouch and Rogic who could go back out on loan or even sold.

Having said that, I'd still take him.

Tommy Rowe - team captain at Peterborough. He's a left midfielder that can play left back, with out -and-out pace and fitness of a winger.

He's available on a free in the Summer.

Better than what we have? Or are you suggesting as a squad player?

Would offer cover for Izzy and on the left wing.

    * knows if he's a decent player or not though.

He's a creative attacking midfielder, who can sit and hold, or take players on. He's the captain, been player of the year a couple of times. So that must mean there's something there.

Free transfers come in as squad players, i think he can improve still. He's a worker, a box-to-box player. Maybe not quite as composed as Ledley, but with more pace.

He's different to Johansen, and other than that we don't have any other naturally left sided midfielders. People say Johansen will do, but what happens if he gets injured?

Also these two might team up well with Izzy and Boerrigter.

Leeds were priced out a move, a few teams were looking at him. He's maybe been a bit underrated, but there will be a few teams looking at him in the Summer. Naturally left sided players are difficult to find. This guy is used to the British style, so the Scottish league would be fine.

In Europe, we really are gonna have to sharpen up defensively in midfield and i want guys who won't get ripped for pace, are physical if they need to be, get challenges in, score a few goals, but have the engine, the work rate.

So for free, we'd get an experienced guy, an organizer in midfield and someone we could hopefully improve.

You'd be getting a £2million footballer for free, he could come straight into the side, but with scope to improve.

Sounds like he could do a job then. Free transfer and probably available on wages between 5k-10k if he is coming from that level, maybe even less.

Right, this is a long shot. I'm gonna suggest a central midfielder, who also plays centre half. I'm not even sure how that position is relevant, with us playing a different style.

Anyway, he plays in Portugal, for a team most folk never heard of, CD National. Ronaldo used to play for them.

So they sit 4th in the league, behind Porto. Seems to be based on a good defensive record and maybe some of that is down to this guy.

Ali Ghazal. Now this really is project raw, there's no denying it. Similar size as Wanyama, faster but maybe not as skillful. But that kind of player.

This wee guy's on loan with them too. I dunno if it's a loan to buy or whatever, but he's silky as *.

This annoys me - I'm assuming you are now classing Commons as a striker? He clearly isn't!
(not biting the head off here, just curious, and have heard a few guys lean this way).

I'd seriously want to look at bringing Crosas back home! The guy was a great player, great passer and good vision. Never got a fair crack at the whip for what ever reasons, but I reckon he would do very well in this squad.

We don't need to bring Marc Crosas home, Stefan Johansen is the new Crosas :50:

I would like to see us sign Stevie May in the Summer, think he is just what we need upfront

Would we not have to pay him a million pound plus , as a signing on fee for him, there is no such thing as getting a player for free nowadays .
