Am I missing something here?

Is joe ledley actually that good that people are now starting threads to say he should be captain and all sorts? What more does he offer to the team than what Crosas, Juarez, Brown, Kayal & Ki offer. I'd play all these CMers before ledley tbh. so yeah someone convince me that he should be a first team regular..?

 

I rate Joe Ledley when he plays with Kayal, not when he plays with Ki though!

 

he is consistent, something that is needed in central midfield. He also does a very good job at what he is asked to do, tackling, tracking back, passing. you won't see him lose he ball very often either.

 

He's quiet, I think ki and kayal are better imo.

 

I think he should be tried out wide where he played well for Cardiff when he was younger.

 

being sayin this for ages hes been a ghost since he came a sending off at tynecastle and thats it

 

ledleys been quite good IMO , hes one of those players who you will forget is even on the pitch then set up a goal or something , hes got consistency and he keeps the game flowing , plays alot of good passes through on goal ect

 

He did enough for me with that ball through to Sammy at Ibrox

 

still young mind you but i would say that he seems like he gets treated the way lenny used to in a sense that he's in the first 11, does his bit on pitch and doesn't really get notice again much like lenny used to.

 

hes quietly effective. very industrious. rarley loses possesion. great player

 

Runs about a bit, but not with the same aggression or purpose as some of his team-mates.

Tbh, a lot of the games I've watched this year I've just been caught up in the emotion and not actually 'watched' as I used to.

But from what I can tell, Ledley is a bit too quiet during games.

 

i think ledley has been one of our most consistant players this season i rate him very highly. but i think we should play him a little further forword he scored a few goals for cardiff last year and i think he is more of an attacking midfielder than a sitting one. i dont know if id make him captain but he would be one of the first names on my team sheet along with kayal.

This - he's just our latest scapegoat it would seem.

 

Ledley is still coming to terms with playing for a side of Celtic's magnitude IMO. He is slowly getting there. Has been quietly effective, without being spectacular. Bit like the centre pin of a clock. Keeps things moving. The last few weeks he is showing signs of improvement.
Reminds me a lot of when Stan Petrov first came to Paradise.
His quick look up then through ball at Ibrox for Samaras was World class.

 

good tackler, can ping a pass, breaks up play. what else do you want from a holding midfielder. he's solid as a rock and deserves the plaudits

 

Doesn't make mistakes, keeps possesion well, breaks into the box, keeps our play running, good passer, good tackler. He's just an all round solid midfielder, does the hard work that lets other players do the fancy stuff. Think him and Kayal will work very well together.

 

Ledley is starting to to show his class and i believe will be a true favourite amongst the hoops fans very soon. I think he plays better without Brown in the team. For me Ki and Brown should not be down on the team sheet before Ledley and Kayal as the two centre midfield players.
