    Celtic Glasgow, una de las instituciones más importantes del fútbol de Escocia y de Europa en general, espera la llegada del jugador ecuatoriano para la pretemporada previa al torneo 2011-2012.

    Un acuerdo firmado hace varios meses entre el Santos Laguna y el Celtic acercó el juego del delantero ecuatoriano a los dirigentes del elenco británico, quienes no tardaron en interesarse por la soberbia campaña que cumplió.

    Así se iniciaron las conversaciones el caso, las mismas que a finales del mes de noviembre ya fueron concretadas entre las partes involucradas, y anticipadas en futbolecuador.com.

    En caso de concretarse en un cien por ciento, Benítez se convertirá en el tercer ecuatoriano en militar en la Liga de Escocia, ya que ante Ulises De la Cruz y Eduardo Hurtado defendieron al Hibernian. En tanto que personalmente volverá a tener una oportunidad en el Viejo Continente, tras un fugaz paso por el Birmingham.    [/FONT]

    Mexican 2 says he's coming on loan
    Mexican 3 says he's signing in summer
    and have all us wondering what the truth is :56:all should be clear in the morning...

    What I gather is that we agreed to sign him in the(up coming) summer, verbally, when we done the link up thing with them the other month and in the past few days there were rumour it had been finalised and now it's coming out that it is agreed and that we will be signing him permanantly in the summer after the Mexican season.

    Maybe they have agreed to sell him in the summer after their season. Im guessing his contract might run out in the summer of 2012 and this is why they're going to sell him this summer? obviously we'll be paying them but no-ones mentioning any prices.

    Who knows its a mystery :56: thats what i think anyway.

    people are here talkin bout his goalscoring record at birmingham, but i watched alot of there games last season and thought he was one of there best players, was unlucky alot of the time also but he gave the opposing defence's a hard time every game he played, would definatly be a major signing for us if he signs!!

    Amazing pace and that alone will be a real threat in the spl, 'Chucho' and Hooper upfront will be absolutely quality!

    Stokes on the bench with Sammy if we need to change things around.

    In that case we should never have bought Sutton cause he was pish at Chelsea .

    Just because he was pish at Brum in the prem does not make him pish he was in a team that never really plays attacking football , add to the fact not all the games he started and was pushed wider for brum .

    Look at his record for all other clubs and his International record ,he is well good enough for us and we would very lucky if we even get him on loan he would be a massive coup for this club.

    His he built like a * tank and faster than road runner no defences will be able to handle him running at them .
