yes, this is the preferred setup. our midfield doesn't get run over in this set up and and our back four has far less to do which is the best possible outcome

Depends on the opposition and the striker. Obviously playing one up top was a masterstroke from Lenny in the OF, and I never would have thought Sammy would make a good lone striker due to him always running into the channels. However, agaisnt smaller teams we shouldn't need to be so defensive- we should give ourselves more attacking options and fewer midfielders, allowing the midfield more space and freedom.

i'm satisfied.. 4-4-1-1 is great formation imo.. better than 4-4-2.. because we don't have 2 top striker.. only hooper.. samaras is good.. stokes also can play forward.. he will be great player in the future..

    No more 4-2-4 garbage.

Yeah I think it depends on the game really. Higher profile games I have always preferred the 4-4-1-1 with a creative player as a withdrawn striker but in most SPL games I think we should just play Hooper and Stokes up top in a 4-4-2. Never been a fan of 4-5-1, we never make it work properly.

I like the 4-4-1-1 formation, and I would like to see kapo playing behind hooper. I think this would work nicely.
