TBF we have a brilliant youth development set up ATM, but we need to "develop" them into 1st team players.

Misun was supposed to be amazing & we tried to turn him into a LB.

Many big clubs wanted him & he did well in pre-season, now he's looking to move on.

We also seem to injure a * of a lot of the youngsters, Paul Slane was playing in Motherwell's 1st team & doing great there. We were very lucky to get him from playing 1st team football at a good SPL club, he's pretty much been injured ever since.

Think we've done well to bring back McKeoch (?) from Rangers with a tribunual probably setting a training fee at just under £200k supposedly, but he's meant to be mustard.

Also really happy we've attracted wee Watt from playing 1st team football at Airdrie, he tore up the Liverpool under 19s & they wanted to buy him, think he's only 16 or 17 as well - one of the fastest young forwards I can remember ever seeing, absolute lightning!

Feruz is going to have to keep his feet on the ground, I can see him making a complete * of his life - which happens all so often to hyped up "superstars" at such a young age. Sounds harsh I know, but we've seen it happen.

Atajic is Sweedish isn't he? Anyway anyone who hasn't seen Tony Watt there is a youtube video of the youth match he played vs Liverpool somewhere I cant seem to find it though.

Richie Towell, Matty Hughes, Filip Twardzik, Greig Spence and James Keatings. I would hope to see alot of these guys in the future, from what i hear Keatings could be something special

The huns are absolutely gutted at the Dylan McGeogh switch. That seems to suggest he's a wee bit special.

It's all great having all this talent but if there not given chances there is no point , as we can see from Misun could be leaving , we need to at least blood these kids in cups games .

They deserve a crack at it and if this is the route the club wants to go down these lads need to given a fair crack at the whip.

Keatings rejected the chance to go out and on loan and learn his trade , for what sitting on the bench and not even getting a sniff , massive mistake he would have gotta game time and for some 1 at his age that is what he needs now , players need game time , look at Macheda at man utd being loaned out to learn it , same with Welbeck etc clubs do it all the time down in the prem ,

jack wilshere far better player now for his time in the prem with Bolton .

Our players might not be on there level but these kids if there good enough as every one thinks they are need that game time its vital for them and us as a club.

Hope they all get blooded for first team. While the manager keeps them level headed. Much the way fergie does it at mu.

Former youth player Declan Bunting always told me that Richie Towell was the best player in the youth team.

Yeah Towell doesn't play for the under-19s now though. He only trains with the first team squad and plays development squad (reserve) games.

Oh, true. Get with it, Murph.

The Twarzdik's look like they could be good, aye. Is Keatings as good as some people are saying?

Fantastic scoring record, looks like he could be a real player. I'm hoping he's on the bench and gets a whil against Berwick if we're winning.

Yeah he's scored a few hat-tricks as well so seems a confident goal scorer. I think thats really the only thing we've failed to produce recently is a decent goal getter.

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. In that last decade (2000-2009) we had:

GK- David Marshall (looked world class for a while)
    DF- McManus, John Kennedy
    MF- Maloney, McGeady
    ST- ...Beattie?

So would be very nice if we could produce a goalscorer. I'm not asking for a Henrik Larsson just yet, but just one with a knack for goal.

Filip Twardzik by far i reckon, went to the under 19's final a few months ago now and he came on as a sub and scored the second, great player and things are lookin up for the lad if lennon gives him a run out soon
