Hey troops, has anyone managed to get some good tactics in this for the tic?

I keep drawing games! and its annoying because you cant give ur players pelters because technically your on an unbeaten run!!! grrrrr

Ended my first season 3rd in the league behind Hibs and the huns, any advice or good players and tactics would be great....

Also think would be a good thread to just talk about the game in general, get the old print screens up of cracking results and that.

I give pelters for not winning at home.

I got Vanden Borre at the very start for €2.5M

Are you still using the same coaches, I bought in 6 coaches at the start and 3 scouts

 

I brought in 3 new scouts too, got a cracking eastern european guy. Kept the same coaches, thought Celtic had quite a good coaching staff, i brought in Peter Grant as my asst mngr though.

Who'd you bring in?

 

I play a 4-3-1-2 with my wingers runs up to the left and right forwad positions and my amc run to the center of attack

 

I started a new game for the hundereth time since I bought it, there seems to be always a reason for starting a new one. (Usually a league I've forgotten to include.

The scouts I go after are the same:

Button and Ferreirinha of Chelsea and Hamilton of Wigan, Craveiro and Lima Pereira of Porto

The coaches I search for vary with each game as im looking on the cheap and unknown lads and they are usually regenerated people each time.

I usually have a critieria that I search for and I get the cheapest lad that fits the bill.

Celtics coaches at the start are very bad. E.g. Ya dont need Stevie Wood cause Jim Blyth is a 5 star keeper coach. I usually get all my coahcing categories up to 5 stars or at the minimum 4 star before the start of the season.

Watch for the compensation packages needed, they come out of your limited budget. Thats what stopping me for going for the really good coaches

 

aye but if you spend all your cash on coaches at the beginning, come january when the new board has taken over, you gets plenty to spend.

 

I want to keep my money so I can buy the good players before the rest do.

The coaches I get are good but free or cheap and I dont have to replace them as they are 5 star.

 

so do u know any good cheap players at the beginning? thomson and brown from hibs are class acts but ar 2.6mil each ffs.

Kerlon, Vanden Borre, Micah Richards, Tom Huddlestone, Okaka, Lee Cattermole, Leighton Baines, Deschacht, Nani, Lucho Gonzalez, Ariel Ortega

whats this you guys are saying about the new board/owner ?

 

every time i've played it the board get bought out by one guy, first time i played it, it was a dutch guy, then a norwegian and this time its a guy from belarus.

they pump a shitload of money into the team, i had 12mil to spend in the january transfer window once., wasted it on theo walcott who ended up doing his leg in. wee *.

I think our board is "willing to listen to offers" at all. They are commited to being a PLC

I got took over from some Russian character, he gave me £75.5million to spend. He then sacked me and brought in Sven Goran Eriksson even though I was top of the league by six points and still in the Champions League, thats when the joy ended lol.

aye i had a glance over that m8, some of the things though i dont want fixed, like the overally high morale, thats a good bug!!! haha
