o so lets all change a winning team 2 acomodate some fringe player dont think so ,if rioden is not happy hes not good enough to get into the celtic first team then tata son theres the door you ve had ur chance at the big time and dident make it tata

 

He mite get a chance this weekend cos he scored a hat trick fur the reserves in medweek agains hearts

 

why would scoring a hat trick for a reserve game get u into the first team ,ye we will change a winning team we have a championship to win we are not the social work dept , celtic reserves is about riodens leve if hes not happy ,he can leave in Jan ,lets focus on winning the championship , with max points.

 

He is not happy and he is off in january just wait and see.....

 

the soner he goes the better if we sell him in JAN to some lower league team at least we will get the wages we have paid him back

 

Saw his reserve game v Hearts. Sounds weird but he was not all that good apart from his three excellent goals. The one thing I really noticed was Deek put in a huge effort, back travking etc. IMO he is more a striker than a wide left guy and looks lost when on the touchline. All his goals came when he moved in from the wing area.

 

Give him a few matches in the team and see how he does, we're so far ahead in the league anyway.

 

yeah im sure wgs,takes notice of riorden,i just think he expects a little bit more from him. Im sure this is not lost on D.R he may be unhappy, that i dont doubt .and to be fair to gordan he has put him on the bench a few times (carrott & stick comes to mind )and this week 3 goals in the reserves is showing that,D.R. is learning,unlike boyd at rangers is ,to get in this team you gotta work hard .going forward and back ....thoughts?

 

I would be disappointed to see Derek Riordan go as I rate him and think he has a future at Celtic. Certainly given our current form though Strachan's team is getting the job done so it is easy to see why Riordan can't get a look in. Balde up until Tuesday was in the same boat. Personally I think it would be a good idea to loan him out in January especially if Maloney doesn't sign a new contract but I would not sell him as I think he has way too much potential.

 

ye in 6 months 2 starts what dose that tell u he is not performing on the training ground ,reason he s not celtic standard ,we should try and get cash for him ,if not just terminate his contract ,and ship him out.

The reason hes no been in the team is cos McGeady and Maloney hav been playin well not cos hes no performin on the trainin ground

 

this is true ,i am working with an ex- boxer from edinburgh called andy ******* who bird's pal is going out with deek , who has told me what he's earning at tic, and that he's perfectly happy at celtic just trying to get into the team, this was just yesterday, but, he doesn't spend a lot of time with him and doesn't imply he is his best pal, as many reekies do, he aint going no place soon ma man , hail hail

 

My pet goldfish's uncle's dog walker told me that if hibs lose Brown and thompson then John Collins will put the boots back to secure them champions league football next season.

 

Who cares about a player happy who has done nothing for us so far except pick up his wages? We should be more concerned about keeping players happy who have already done the business on the pitch for us such as Maloney, McGeady etc etc. they all want to be in the team. Riordan is just a young player whose had a couple of good seasons at Hibs and has come for a small fee, he isnt a proven international who came for millions. If he wants to go, let him go.

ye iam talking pish but what u do on the training ground is wgs yard stick so if hes doin at training ur in the team , hes not good enough for celtic , if he was hed be in the team , average player had his chance at the big time could not hack it , so sell him and let him get bck to a lower level of football were he can get a game
