i agree that hes been poor at defending recently but i think he has put in some great crosses in recent times which have resulted in the ball hitting the back of the net..
its also rare to get a player whos every cross is dangerous

Aye good point. When Mulgrew was back at centre half Daly did * all. Mulgrew had his number and didn't let him out of his pocket. We should always play like for like. Mulgrew can handle guys like Daly all day long. I just think izzy needs a wee kick up the *.

Thought he was great today. Kind of at fault for their goal but what can he do, he cant make himself 4 inches taller.

He is awful from diagonal balls. Great going forward today.

I was thinking about his crossing earlier....I think he may be poor at picking out players but good at throwing it into dangerous areas (as he done with the 2 goals).

And also the Lustig one off the post, he gets crosses in with decent power and if anyone connects the ball usually flys off their head.

For a full-back id say he was a pretty good crosser of the ball as is Lustig. Two of the better ones to have played for us for a while. Better than Hinkel, Wilson and McNamara who were decent and Agathe, Naylor, Matthews, Cha, Camara, Telfer who arent/werent that good.

People saying he couldn't do much about the Daly goal, aye he couldn't do much because he wasn't even aware that Daly was behind him! He made a simple run in behind Izzy, and not once did Izaguirre look round to see where he was! Fair enough, Daly might have beaten him in the air regardless, but to let him get a free header was criminal. I thought he done well going forward, but his positional sense over the past wee while is horrific. He gets caught with a ball in behind him far too often. St. Mirren away in the SC was a prime example.

To all those questioning Izzy's crossing, yesterday his crosses were turned in by Wanyama and Commons for two goals and Lustig really should've done better with his chance off an Izzy cross. He got caught out defensively yesterday, even if he was in a better position he wouldn't do anything to stop Daly, but you can't fault his abilities going forward.

No, it's not really. It's all right to good.

It's why he has about 11 assists this season.

People wouldn't moan about his crossing if it was people like Larsson, Sutton and Hartson there to aim at. As it is, with Hoops, Commons and Stokesy on the end of them it needs to be absolutely pinpoint.

I'd really love to see someone capable of getting on the end of crosses. We don't necessarily have to start slinging balls route one but as evidenced by our display vs barca, if you can't mix it up then you become predictable and easier to nullify.

His crossing is pish unless they are along the ground. He over hits them, puts them out for throws, goal kicks, all sorts.

Saying that, I love Izzy :)

His crossing is far from good these days. He rarely picks men out with his crosses, he just hits hopeful balls into the box. He should take lessons off Charlie Mulgrew.

I disagree with that, when he's got something to hit he tries to pick them out. If not he'll try and stick it into a dangerous area because the likes of Hooper can anticipate it.

When he can get somebody to aim for he is good at picking them out, Sammy in Moscow type crosses. He's not Mulgrew or Commons standard but he is far from awful. His crossing is all right.

    A solid 13 in FM terms :56:

I think he's lost a bit of speed since he took that injury. When we first signed him he was ghosting past players in Didier Agathe type fashion. He doesn't do that as much anymore, although he still attacks well, he's not quite as effective as when we first got him.

He looks bulkier than his first season. Probably been working on his strength and stuff and lost a bit of pace because of it.
