Was just wondering about what we all think about the current attendances given the performance of the team, league position and cost.

    Thoughts.

Pish. cant really moan about it when i've only been to 5 games this season, nothing to do with how the team are playing. i'm seriously skint and have no job:54:

they really need to think about fixing the prices

Attendances are poor, but they are down all over. Over 41000 at the St Johnstone game, there was only two games in the UK that had more, Man Utd and Newcastle.

Agree with you completely mate, there's not really an incentive for people to go and even when there is, the prices are ridiculous, £38 for an old firm :97: and as for the attendances, it was -10 against Kilmarnock, and i was for leaving cos my foot nearly froze completely, i didn't though, but people aren't going to sit in freezing temperatures to watch us play *, but i will :50:

the only bad one was killie, and no one who wasnt at the game can complain at others for no turning up,

it was midweek, freezing, and bad roads.

the figure quoted by celtic nowadays is the total season books plus what they sell. must have benn about 20,000 at killie game and lucky if there was 30,000 at st johnstone game

I always thought each click of the turnstyle was how they counted attendances?
and surely they use the electronic ticket scanners to get the numbers?
    no?

Anyone else think what the players must think when seeing the four stands surrounding them empty? wonder what goes through their heads, especially new signings who always seem to say they cant wait to play in front of 60,000 people a week.

Its going to take a few season of good attacking, skillful, championship winning football to get the attendances back up but the club could make things look a little better by not selling tickets in the corner at the rangers end to non-season book holders but instead sell them the empty seats around the stadium that aren't sold already and you could then give opposition fans the small section next to where they usually sit and not make them have the restricted view seats at the back of their current area, doing these 2 things could make things look a little better by cutting down a bit on all the empty seats dotted everywhere.

The attendances have fallen, the last two games are an exception due to different circumstances. The prices are way to high even when bringing children to the game, the problem is not just an issue for celtic but other clubs.

Is what your a paying to see value for money and at the moment at most teams in Scotland the answer is no. The gameday experience at Celtic Park has deteriorated over the last couple of years, little or no atmosphere during the game and little quality to watch.

The board must do more to correct the current attendances and praise must go to those who have attended the last two home games.
