Players who never got a chance

Yeah he is another I missed on my list of youngsters who never got a look in, and I hate to say it but with the bloated size of our first team squad and it becoming increasingly likely that more players will come in in January than leave I think more and more of our really excellent young prospects are going to be on their way out over the next couple of season without having gotten even a sniff of a chance.

 

Crosas - best passer we have had in a while and always cares
Riordan - what a skillful striker we wasted
Mizuno - never got much of a chance
Bjarnason - was great whenever i saw him in friendlies, his few appearances or in the reserves
Balde in later years seemed to be hated by Strachan even when he had a good game

Any of: Sheridan, Ferry, McGlinchey, Caddis, Hutchinson, Misun...

Hopefully Feruz isn't left in the reserves until he's 22 before being sold for peanuts
Also hope Keatings, Atajic, Carey and Slane get a chance next pre-season

 

Broto's a great shout. From what we saw of him (which I have to say wasn't much) he could have been great for us. Seem to remember something about his wage demads doing him out of a new deal though.

Marc Crosas.

There was some stat or other that, while Gordon Strachan was in charge, when we played with Crosas - Brown in central midfield we only lost once in about 15 - 20 games or something like that. So that partnership obviously wasn't that bad.

Then last season the best football Celtic played was when Crosas - N'Guemo were paired together in central midfield. Yet Tony Mowbray still saw fit to break that partnership up when both players were fit and Neil Lennon hasn't really used Crosas at all since he took over.

I really think Crosas has had a bit of a rough deal at Celtic. He's a really tidy wee player and is the best passer of a ball at the club.

 

That really worked and i think it lasted 5-7games then he dropped Crosas and it went * up from there on in ,i dont know what Managers are not seeing in Crosas on the park ,maybe his defending isnt up to scratch or something but when he has that ball he knows exactly were to put it ,shame really.

 

Koki and Deek

I dont know what happened to Koki and Deek under WGS, for some reason strachan tried to convert Riordan into a left midfielder, fair enough the lad had an excellent delivery but playing him outwide was another decision which WGS bemused alot of fans. As for Koki the lad shower alot of talent in a wee run of games that he did get and he scored a belter against Falkirk, with pace to burn i think it was the right club at the wrong time considering he was up against McGeady and Nakamura!!!

 

Agreed 100%.

O.K. A footballing mercenanary but what a goalscorer he is now. We have no one to compare with him. Not even Hooper.

Major mistake to let him go. Apart from scoring his work rate and running was tremendous. (Oh I'm sounding like a hun now....but fact all the same)

Riordan is another who is streets better than Sammy and Murphy.

I am also concerned that Juarez is in the same position as Riordan. Face doesn't fit ?

 

Jiri Jarosik, thought he should have had more games.

 

Him and Donati did well for us in Europe. Jiri was played out of position a few times as well in the SPL. In fact when we let Donati go, he was playing well but TM wanted him out

 

Sammy is deffenetly the most Underated player.

Just give hom the chance he deserve you fake fans.

few people mentioned flood i thought he did well up here, stachans tactics didnt really favour him tbh

 

I think caddis should of been given more chances thought he was a good player, and possibly koki mizuno although he didnt seem that impressive tbh, apart from his debut
