Some right Tory prawn sandwhich * at CP these days, would rather sit and watch out for people causing supposed trouble than support the team. Honestly man I do not know one fan like that? Is it all the fans fae Bearsden or something?

On a serious note (and more importantly) you need to correct the factual innacuracies and logical fallacies. It´d be interesting to see what the statement would look like then!

Don´t have time to correct spelling and punctuation. Here is the statement corrected for logic and facts:

In 2003 we as Celtic Fans recieved an award from a secretive, morally dubious organisation for our fantastic support! Since the 2006 establishment of the Green Brigade, we have recieved a small number of fines and punishments for doing things we already used to do before their establishment! A few people say that the Green Brigade are destroying the great name as Celtic supporters that they believe we have built up over many years long before they were founded and that they claim will remain long after they are gone! This document will, however, not bother to offer any evidence for the veracity either of these two beliefs.

It has been claimed that they make areas of Celtic park and Away stadiums unsafe and unplesurable for all other Celtic fans! No convincing evidence has ever been presented for these claims and, in fact, a FOI request to GCC resulted in serious doubts being cast upon their validity. Nevertheless, we will continue to make these claims.

Some of us (unfortunately no figures exist regarding what percentage of the support we make up) don't want them to be part of our club! With their occasional disregard for the hypocritical rules of the abovementioned dubious organisation (UEFA) regarding political displays and the occasional disregard of other fans for the safety of innocent plastic seats for which the GB are unfairly blamed, we believe that they are no more than a hooligan elemnt within our club, presumably because we have never bothered to look up the word "hooligan" in a dictionary.

From the pyro at CP that turned out not to be them, to the banned songs (that everyone knows have been sung long before the GB and even now are sung by thousands in our away support and not just a few dozen members of the GB) to the political banners that don´t meet the arbitrary approval of UEFA (Mandela, Israeli flags and anti-racism banners are OK; Sands, Palestinian flags, etc are apparently not), we believe (despite the fact that our conclusion clearly does not follow from the above) that they have more than warrented a life time ban at this stage! And we as a small, possibly unrepresentative group of Celtic Fans no longer want to have this group who we consider a plague inflicted on us!

We hereby assert without any evidence whatsoever that people who have spoken out about them in public have been the victims of threats and harrasment by the Green Brigade (further prooving the fact that they are just thugs) so please sign and share this petiton that we can then forward to the Club to get them disbannded permently!

 

Next time (if?) Celtic Park has a big crowd and a good atmosphere .. a section of our support should start a Stand Up - for the Green Brigade chant...

we can see then how many people appreciate what they bring to the ground/club. and at the same time we can see those sitting silent ...

might also let the board see that the fans see more in common with the GB than we do with CFC and the policy's being enforced.

i would think the majority of fans support the GB.. but it's easy to test

 

That was a fantastic display tonight, one of their best I think.

Wow, that is indeed a brilliant display from the GB.

 

Display was brilliant and the GB didn't stop singing once last night despite a really * performance. Was really tempted to get up and go round and sit next to them as I spotted a few empty seats.

 

I thought so too. Static photos don´t do it justice.

I had to change onto my laptop for the second half. It made the stream buffer a lot but it meant I had audio and all I could hear (apart from moans) at CP for a vital European game was 111 and the surrounding sections in that corner. Worrying.

Some * on Twitter actually blamed the Green Brigade for the bad performance.

 

People will blame them for anything.

 

Aye, as we all know, the roughly 25,000 people that live in Bearsden regularly vote Tory, put pie sellers out of business, inform on other attendees of Celtic Football Club regulation matches and are directly responsible for "modern football".
