What GS should do now

The team is looking fantastic just now and the feel good factor is definitely here. What we should do now IMO to be consistantly competeting for a CL quarter final place every year is get rid of Balde, Thompson, and Mr Zurawski and replace them with younger lower earners who will make more of an impact over the next few years. I think it is time for those 3 to move on and be replaced.

if we pie balde who the heck we gonna have on the bench as cover??

 

get rid of thompson in january aye big earner who needs off the wage bill... but not magic or balde... sign another quality defender for cover , possibly another midfielder aswell but maybe not....not too much tho if at all .. some right strong squad we got.

id buy another experienced goalie aswell for backup.. no disrespect to marshall but i think he will move on hes still young and wont get a game.. he want 1st team football and wont get it as long as boruc is at cp.

 

We should keep Magic until we buy some-one else to replace him but if we buy a good striker in January I would gladly let him go

 

magic??? we've only just bought him ffs gie the guy a run at it feckin ell and as for balde i dont think so if you actually knew whit you were talkin about you wouldnt even think about gettin rid if balde we need him as our backline is pretty thin as it is. Thompson?? Bye bye!

 

also i must add zurawski . having been great last season for us.. and had a somewhat forgetable start to this term.. i thought he actualy put in a great shift last night against benfica a first this season... won a right few headers aswell.

if he keeps that up ive no complaints of him aslong as the work ethic is there with magic his goals will come along too when he gets the chance. as he is a natural finisher. if ive ever seen one.

miller they say is not a natural finisher... he looked fairly natural to me last few cl games and le huns... hes oozing confidence now.

 

sadly thomo's finished here and needs replacing as does stan varga even thuogh i like him it aint working , and bring in scott browm and thomson and ad 2 or three of the youngsters to the first team like quinn,lawson and o'dea,we can then just freshen the squad up with one or two quality signings togive a fresh imputousif it worked for big jock it'll work for wee strach

 

Send Thompson down the road but keep Balde and Zurawski or all the squad will be weaker for losing them

 

no way can we get rid of bobo or majic. thomo can go but i think we have a good mix in the team of youth and experience. weve got a good set up at the moment no need to change things.

 

varga is already away . to sunderland close season with wallace.

 

lets face it there aint much to Zurawski...i like the player but he's not a natural goal scorer and doesn't offer much else i rememver VOH's 1st game and the hib's centre back was saying that Zurawski was causing him no problems but that soon changed when VOH came on due to his style of movement etc...Zurawski on his way down the pecking order....i hope it helps him raise his game though but i think we've seen the best of him.

 

spot on i believe the one thing that has been missing up till now has been given too us in one match at old trafford majics has been low after the world cup but at o't we proved to ourselves we can hack it at that level i just hope the confidence is unshakable cos we look as if our team have the making of the scottish european team nae legs has been trying to build for over a decade at a fraction of the cost and how much is that going to stick in his throat

 

Im not just saying let them go and leave no cover what im saying is replace them. Balde is 31 now a really big earner and is not going to get a game it doesn't make sense to have him on the bench i think it would be good business if we could get someone else in younger and on a much smaller salary. Zurawski is 30 not doing much and is not going to get any better sure he can score goals but his overall play is terrible. I dont buy that we just signed him * he has been here over a year now is an international and is not a young boy he should be starting every week for the money we paid i would rather see someone else in. I dont think anyone disagrees with thompson. They have a done us a turn and i would wish them all the best but we are building a youthful side and getting the wage bill down and i think this would be a good next step.

Of course get rid of Balde I have said that for seasons, Thompsons wages we could use, offload him, and look for a good backup goalie, one that will give Boruc competition!
Keep Zurawski.
Oh and by the way, to those that will say we need Balde as a backup, I say sign another, for if he ever has to go in there as a backup, BLUNDERS will happen, and in big games, did before why wont they again.

 

LETTING MAJIC GO WOULD BE A MISTAKE IMO HE WILLSTILL GIVE U 20 ODD GOALS A SEASON BIG BOBOS BEST DAYS ARE BEHIND HIM & THOMMO SHOULD BE MOVED ON IN JAN

get rid of thomson !! why hes still here is beyond me and a waste off money !!!!!

 

Strachan would get rid of Thompson in a second if he could, the same I think as Balde. But nobody is willing to pay the 27k a week that they are both getting.
