exactly , it doesnt work that way with a guy like telfer and a player like wilson

telfer wouldnt be * off on the bench ,coz thats where he should expect to be when wilson is fit

Telfer has always had the backing of WGS,and when he needed a right back he's brought telfer with him (not forgetting the fact he's his brother in law). But the fact remain clear and simple out of wilson and telfer for the right back spot (as naylor has deffo made left back his own, besides the fact we have nobody to challenge for that position) wilson wins time and time again,he passing abilty is far better,he can get up and down the pitch all game and his crossing is far superior to telfer.

Well done to Paul Telfer for some excellent showings since Mark Wilson got injured. I have to admit I was very concerned and suggested moving Caldwell to right back as a stop gap. But all credit to Telfer he has done very well and allowed us to keep what is rapidly becoming a rock solid central defensive pairing intact. Mark Wilson is the starter at right back and our long term future there but well done to Telfer he is making his contribution to the team big time at the moment.

Old dogs new tricks and all that *. Can Telfer not practice his whipped crosses in training. Its his main weakness and I do not think he would have come in for a tenth of the grief he got if he could fix that one aspect of his game. Other than that he is not bad at all. He should ask Naylor for a few tips.

    playing brilliant paul.

always given him my support, even though i don't think he's the most gifted player, i always think he gives it everything.

    Where has this come from????

He is not Strachans Brother in law, This is Garbage. So often on this site fans claim to know this, that, and the other. When asked where they got their info from its a case of "I heard it somewhere".

The fact of the matter is they make it up and they are so stupid they believe it themselves. Not that I am saying that Paddy has done this, but I'm sure where ever he has heard it from has.

Telfer is actually related to a former International, He is the nephew of former Scotland, Hearts, Chelsea and Dundee United midfielder Eamonn Bannon. This is taken from Wickpedia.

Another website claims he is the Brother in law of Eamonn Bannon. However I have yet to see any kind of evidence to suggest a relationship between Strachan and Telfer. Well not of the Familial kind anyway.

I heard Telfer was a cousin of some big Celtic player of fairly recent times (80s??) . Cant think who it was now.
