Mani, in case you missed all of this, 3 GB members were arrested with no explanation today before the game. The rest of the GB refused to attend the game in protest. That would be common courtesy of them to not attend the game in my opinion. Common sense even.

Yes the fans will still go but as you've stated your opinion mines is the celtic support will miss the green brigade if they stop going, and for me the authorities and their petty little vendettas have won :38:

Well who knows unless you know them all personally.

The "politicised" but it cringy. Can't they just get behind the team playing football rather than trying to bring something into the game that doesn't need to be there.

I don't know why he would say it it was after the "* UEFA" banner. He's pretty inconsistent when it comes to Green Brigade members. One minute he's praising them the next minute he's bashing them. Just like the club who are happy to make money of them and they are also happy to ban them.

:50: Celtic before GB and will be Celtic after GB

But when the GB stick to songs that are not even a bit iffy then thats great & they are a credit too their club, cut out the iffy songs & the political banners & everything should calm down I would hope :50:

He wasn't talking about the GB there. Just the people who had damaged the club's name (In his opinion).

    Iffy songs and political banners...

    If you know your history.

More than a club for a reason pal.

    EDIT.

By the way kid, the Celtic support before the GB was the * GB.

The whole support sang the songs and was as militant as the Gb are now.

It's the folk who surround the GB who are the new breed.

one thing i would say is in with regards to rules they push that to the limits every game at celtic park ie with the lateral movement lol yes i did just say that, they were told not to do it but they persist and do it,and also with the bangers going off before the juve game from under the big banner as they could not get picked out for it, and im sure we all heard it, as i say love everything they bring but also think they bring some stuff on themselves, and again its just me looking in im not clued up on there goings on so i could be 100percent wrong.

Yeah it is m8 but your never going to unite a full support no matter who you are, someone or some group always have differant views but doesn't mean they should be victimised for having those views, either fans in the green brigade or not :50:

Without derailing this thread entirely, the political aspect is a welcome one IMO.

"Iffy songs" are as low in quantity as they've ever been and I can't recall much political banners this season.

Next season there will be no Green Brigade presence, even less paying supporters than this season, and a return to the morgue like atmosphere which made going to watch Celtic in the not so distant past feel like a chore.

The fans are what make this club so special, along with the politics and the songs for me.

Take that out and we'll be just another Hibs.

We all love the atmosphere the GB bring to the game with songs the club deem acceptable.(If the club say they are not acceptable do not sing them)

As Mani said they are dividing the support over them with all this point scoring with the police & club.

I sit beside a lot of different age of fans & you will find its mostly the young ones that will back them to the hilt & the older ones will say they don't speak for me & i come to watch the team not the fans.

I love the atmosphere they bring to the game with their signing & their banners(which are really funny at times)but what do they expect if they go against what the club say is unacceptable.

    I'm 38.

Does that make me an "older one"?

    I back them 100%

As long as they don't sing anything racist or sectarian then I don't understand why any fan would not back them.

I really fear for the future of our club and where it is headed culturally.
