Pretty sure it's donations and through selling merchandise and membership fees.

I know one of the young guys who paints the banners - I'll ask him and post it when I find out. :50:

Yeah fundraising events and merchandise are what fund them.

I really like the 'slow Celtic' chant .. it was really well orchestrated yesterday, but I agree that discoland, toytown etc are neddy and embarrassing .. your not gonna encourage the rest of the crowd to get involved with that kind of crap.

I never thought I'd see the day when Discoland was played over the PA at Celtic Park .. the older generation look utterly bemused.

    Just my opinion.

Anyway, good work again yesterday lhads. :50:

I don't really mind all 3 personally, there just not for Celtic Park for me.

You got an alternative? No offense but the folk saying it's ned music never seem to have ideas/songs of their own.

I'm not here to play DJ mate, it's just my opinion, you can't seriously expect a middle aged man to join in with Toytown can you?

No but you can't expect young lads to want to sing ballads all day. Both have their place and the GB sing both, even when they sing slow tunes the non-singers still don't sing. I don't think it's the songs that are the problem, it's just that some are never going to get involved.

True, but I think the grace the club give the GB, being able to bring in drums and stand etc is a privillege that should be respected with Celtic songs and chants, you can't just use it to have a wee rave.

There are fans scattered all around the place that want to get involved, you see pockets of them every game.

I think proper discussions with the club could lead to that being a much bigger section.

Definitely needs to be bigger. Like you say, there's wee groups all over the place that want to be involved and sing but can't because of their seat position. Only problem with that is if all the singers were in say The Lisbon Lion stand the rest of the ground would be even worse. If we pull all the singers into one stand it may affect the general atmosphere of the ground. Maybe 2 GB groups? One in each end?

Guess you could do that yeah, personally I'd like to see them take up that entire corner and possibly behind the goal in the Lisbon Lions, there's definitely potential and enough interest to achieve that.

A simple letter to every season ticket holder, asking whether people would be willing to relocate, with the format agreed between the GB and the club would sort it out.

    It's not rocket science.

I understand the drums, in order to keep everyone on the same beat, but it really doesn't come across that well over the television. Sounds much better without the drums.

That being said, I'm very far away and I realize I have very little to no room to speak on this matter. Keep up the good work and keep the atmosphere coming

Dont like too many dance tunes being sung either, toy town is a great song and discoland is pretty good too but I would rather leave it at that. I laughed my head off when I heard the hun bears tried to sing Levels by Avicii...

I'll be honest, not really sure about the likes of Toytown being played over the tannoy - for someone who used to dance about mental in the dancings to it, I find it a wee bit cringey being played over the tannoy at CP.
