That's exactly what it is, a money making exercise.

The basic concept is - we maximise brand potential worldwide which in turn increases revenues which means we can then afford to pay higher transfer fees and bigger wages for better players.

How can this possibly be construed to be a bad thing?

You are correct if you see that wayand if that doesnt bother you. I never said it was a bad thing mate just don't like that clubs like santos call them selves big teams cause they have money to do what ever they want I guess its hard to explain cause my English and what bothers me the most is that they dare compare them selfs to Celtic when they have nothing in common but their uniform

Wether it's a money making exercise or for talent, it can't possibly be a bad thing.

Our links in Japan, South Korea etc. were money making exercise's but look at the players we got from it. This opens alot of doors for Celtic, sign their best players if possible to improve our own squad and sell them on at a higher value. It also introduces Celtic FC to a new group of people.

So how's the deal going to be made, if it does happen next year? Will Celtic be paying them to start the deal, or is there no money involved?

    hopefully not USL

its rare that players who are good or have potential are not either a) already in the MLS already or b) developing at the university team level

not knocking the USL for quality as its a developmental league, but I think we need to be looking beyond that level if we want our odds of finding anyone worthwhile to be decent

In the 90s working in California, Texas, wherever, I watched Mexican fitba quite a bit on TV, and took a liking to Santos Laguna mainly because of their strip.
Sure dont know how this bunch of chancers we have running Celtic the BOARD came to pick them? :87:
I dont like THOSE that run Celtic, and it would behove them although they are not capable enough, to start winning SPL titles and at least put up a decent challenge in Europe.
All this global attempt to make money in some way or form in my opinion is some sort of a front to cover up their ineptness, because they are costing the club millions.
Wonder how many more years they are going to have the club struggle, because thats how I have seen it for sometime! :47:
