People whose lives were wasted..

i know this is slightly different and his life was tragically taken from him.

but phil o'donnell, one of the friendliest people i have ever met, what an absolute gent of a man and its horrible to think that the good die young, it was certainly true in his case

 

What's incredible is that you can take the fact that I think his life was wasted from my post. I said 'by his own admission,' which means that he is the one who thinks his career was wasted. I heard an interview with him where he said he'd wished he had been more committed to his fitness because he could have played for Madrid.

the thread is on lives that have been wasted, so if you didn't mean that his life was wasted then why post it in this thread?

Obviously as a Celtic fan I am glad that he played for us. But from his perspective, and to a neutral, he had the potential to play for Barca or Man Utd. For that reason, his career could easily be said to be wasted in the SPL. It was not in my interests, it was in his, AS HE ADMITTED HIMSELF.

dont mean it that way she died young when she had alot more to give, obviously not her fault.
