James Keatings

Would be good to see this lad get some game time. Prolific at u19 level and rejected a few loan moves to try and break through this season.

Anyone know if that Greig Spence is still injured? Supposedly got a sore one a few months back.

 

I've never seen him play, but he deserves a chance imo.

 

I think it would be great also, if young Keatings was given a chance. He looks a decent, young player in the making.

We really need to start blooding through the young talent in our team as soon as possible,.

Already, we have young James Forrest who looks a tremendous talent, although unfortunately he has been hampered by a long-term injury.

 

I'd like to see him get a run out at some stage. The problem is that we are in such a state at the moment that big victories are few and far between.

Next time we play Aberdeen at home we should see the lad hopefully.

 

I think with the bloated size of our first team squad our best young players are going to struggle to get any playing time this year even during big wins, which really is a shame, take someone like Richie Towell for example who was brilliant in the pre-season game against Blackburn and has been on the bench for I think every league game this season but has not even come close to getting on.

 

Spence is still injured, will still be out for a few months yet. Keatings all-round game isn't great to be honest, but he's prolific so I'd give him a chance.

The u19s have missed him the last few games, get him on the bench and give him some gametime.

 

Think he may have to get some playing time before the January transfer window because if we sign Winchester and Ruelas then he will probably find himself behind them.
