I know every swallow doesnt make a summer (or a relationship:86:)
But against Rangers and against Copenhagen the guy has played well. No mistakes, decent passes. I always thought he was gash, maybe he is okay? Or getting better, perhaps?

    Hail Hail

Aye, we've gotta be fair and say "well done" when he puts in performances that help us feel SO * HAPPY!!!

    :party22:
Thogh it's clear that any negativity from the stands affects his confidence badly.. just like Agathe.

maybe we should lay off a bit and we might end up better off in the long run?

    hail, hail :celt_2:

He never lets the side down. He might not be the most talented player we have but he is the most honest. Never hides when the crowd are on him, always available for a pass.Defensively sound and often works the right side himself when Naka can't be arsed.

He is a fine player who does a fine job. People forget how * most of the players are.

He does us proud week in week out. One or two mistakes, but if I had 50 odd thousand people on my back i'd make mistakes.

Yeah I was saying this on the other thread. He was doing great but then he misplaced a few passes and the groans from the crowd visibly shook him a little.

He has been solid and reliable of late.

It will be interesting to see what back 4 GS picks when Wilson is back.

The Celtic manager hit out at fans who quickly turn against veteran right-back Paul Telfer. "He was excellent tonight," said Strachan. "He gives one bad pass and the fans get on his back. "But he makes 50-yard runs without the ball to allow Nakamura two. "Ask Nakamura who he prefers to play with and it will be Paul Telfer by a million miles." Gordon Strachan after the Copenhagen match

Telfer is like vanilla ice cream

If I was Naka I would prefer Wilson behind me.

If you were Naka then Naka be you..... so it would be you prefering Wilson behind ya.....not Naka.:celt_2:

Mark Wilson is Celtic's most consistent performers over the last 6 months, should slot straight back into the team when fit

I agree. Wilson would be first choice although Telfer does put in a lot of work.

Telfer always gives his best, but his skills are very limited. He plays, but he is not the solution - Wilson is our saviour.

Aye Wilson is a definite starter when he's back, but going on the last couple of games Telfer is probably decent back up. I dont think we should get carried away tho, he's had two good games in big matches which i and most other people will recognise and acknowledge, but it doesnt wipe out all the heart attacks he's put us through in the past.

Well done Paul you've proved that you are a good player. Mark Wilson is better tho so it's back to bench warming soon.

I think Telfer has been helped by naka and mcgeady tracking back more and doubling up with him. And even lennon and graveson coming across and helping him out.

Telfer is a no frills player. You don't get anything fancy or spectacular, he just does his job, he puts in a performance nothing more nothing less.

Credit to Paul Telfer he has come back into the side and played quite well in 2 very big games for us since the injury to Mark Wilson. But there is no question that Mark Wilson has already established himself as the starting right back for Celtic and at only 21 hopefully will get even better and be a big player for Celtic for a long time to come.
Paul Telfer is 35 now and has to be loving the fact that he is playing on the stage he is. Looks like he will continue to play as long as Wilson is out injured so here's hoping he can reproduce the last couple of performances. If he does that then he will have played his part for us well.

telfer has played well in recent games all credit to him for that, dont think wilson will have it all that easy if telfer keeps it up, played really well last night did a * of alot of running off the ball to open the play up. keep it up:50:
