So in the space of a month Ireland have done two things Scotland can't,

Take a point off Germany and be an Independent Country

I would be optimistic of at least getting a point against the scots in glasgow. The scotish defense is poor, they are good from midfield up, but I dont rate martin , hanley or greer.

Makes sense to only receive minimum. Same will happen for Scotland in Ireland. The more home supporters for two neighbouring countries the better.

Was actually quite surprised the amount of people I spoke to yesterday that have managed to get tickets for this don't think any of them had managed to get tickets for the Ireland end though.

I see Strachan is telling the Tartan army to boo McGeady & McCarthy he has now backtracked and said just to boo them for their "football ability" lol. What an idiot.

Mc Carthy is a bit hit and miss. I'd play Wes Houlahan over him, personally.Having said that, i'd prefer if we had no injuries.

McCarthy's much better for Everton than he is for Ireland. Still, McCarthy out will probably mean a certain starting place for Glen Whelan. Not good :54:

Personally I think Robbie Keane could tear our defence a new * on Friday.

Keane is a smart player, his movement and his game awareness is top drawer. Keane is equally adept at finishing as he is at creating them for others.People may be snobby about how he's playing in America but that snobbery is misplaced.

Hopefully it's like his time at Celtic where he was to smart for his own team-mates and they couldn't link up as effectively as they should have.

Glen Whelan is rubbish, he's not even effective defensively, wish he was booted out of the squad. Agree that Robbie can change games, he still has the touch.
