Thing is though, majority of people who posted in this thread have been affected by US one way or another. Therefore, "drivel they've concocted in their own head" is actually opinion based on experience and some actually with direct experience of actions US foreign policy delivered.

Anyway, we've gone way off topic here and should get back on track.

No this has only been proven for empires, the US isnt an Empire and even if it was history has also tought us that nothing is certain, just because Rome and Britain fell doesnt point to the fall of a strong nation being inevitable. The US has only been a superpower for some 60 years, Britain's empire lasted centuries, Rome lasted several millennia

Very unlikely mate, if you really think that then you no very little about the US. As for the cultural gap is is no different than any in other western countries.

    yes, it is

it is a corporate empire, this cannot be denied except for those who are willingly blind to it

the way capitalism works is not that money trickles down, but that the poor work, constantly dreaming of the riches the upper class possess; that someday they might possess it too, bearing the burden of the rich and powerful on their backs

it is a group of sociopaths who rule the capitalist world; it has always been so, even in the dark days of stalinist soviet russia, where it was a totalitarian, imperial state, rather than the glorious USSR of lenin and trotsky, the one which brought russia out of the feudal ages; these sociopaths do not think like you or i, they think only for themselves and those who share the same wealth they do

in the same way a predator stalks a young girl, the sociopath can manipulate their way into powerful positions, then striking at the young girl from a position where she would be deemed insane for suggesting so

in america, the government is bought out by the rich lobbyists, in canada, it doesnt even work like that, the senate is NOT elected, and is used as an undemocratic tool to take away the freedoms and privileges we have attempted to maintain without being an imperialistic country, no matter where you look in north america, you see capitalism at work, consumerism, it has made me a shallow person, waiting for the next installment of call of duty, or the newest james cameron movie, and when i try to fight back to this system people like you who not only accept but encourage this system, call me insane

i mean no disrespect to you will, you seem like a nice guy, but you seem to refuse to see why america will fall, it will fall because it was meant to fall, designed to it, capitalism is not meant to work, it is meant to break, when america falls, it will bring the rest of the free world with it, and it will be business as usual

I dont think the USA will collapse. But the country will become weaker economically. At the same time China will become more powerful.

Umm... born and raised in the South. Lived in the US all my life minus one year (in Australia a decade ago) and three months (these last few in Argentina). Trust me I know what I'm talking about. It's very seriously talked about by people in the Tea Party. Many of them (my grandpa for instance) hoped that the California marijuana law would pass because that would give them legal precedent to start rolling back Obama's health care reform in their own states. If you don't know my background don't assume you understand how much I know. :50:

I doubt that the USA will collapse any time in the near future or even this century. It would have a major impact around the world not just economically, but culturally too.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. America is probably weaker now militarily and economically than ever before. They have a colossal trade deficit of $17 Trillion, California is bankrupt, and Obama is spending money that dozen't belong to him like it was going out of fashion.China is fast becoming the dominant force in the world, and America's influence in the world map is shrinking dramatically, as China and its proxies Iran, North Korea and Syria are all building nuclear weapons together in sync, and it ain't for domestic fuel consumption. Watch this space.

Where is your source of all that?

Just so I can do some further reading of my own.

America still has the best military in the world and is still the most operational and deployable. In terms of their economy, wasn´t it the * up with their economy that triggered the global recession?

America isn't as strong as it used to be. They are in full retreat in the Middle East. They have dropped out of Iraq leaving the mother and father of all messes behind them unresolved, and the Taliban and Al Queda are knocking * out of them in Afghanistan.

Yep it was their economic collapse with the sub prime mortgages, largely given out by Freddie Mac and * Mae to people who really couldn't afford mortgages that started the ball rolling all over the world, with banks collapsing and foreclosures and repossessions world wide. there is every chance that Obama's reckless fiscal policies will plunge America and the world into a double dip recession yet.

Some fine posts there. But i still believe if or when the u.s. really starts to lose its grip on the world then they will fight to stay top. This will be nessacery or she will sufocate herself slowly.
Get ready for the mother of all wars yet. And with europe bailing out countries to claim more soverinty over them, the stage is slowly being set for one man to rule europe. The leader of europe and leader of the u.s. will fight it out againest.the others for head of the table. This wont happen over night but the foundations are well on there way from being laid. (Far fetched?)

Economically, yes, militarily, no. The only reason it's "in retreat" is because of the politics at the beginning of the war (especially in Iraq) and because of dwindling support/money at home. As far as research, budget, capability, etc., there's still a pretty wide gap. There's some real doomsdayish sentiment in this thread, you have been reading too much Glen Beck.

the merits and demerits of trotskyism is going to be too long winded for on here.i never said that only leftists faught the nazis but i will say this, without the USSR, Communist resistance in slavic nations and even communist resistance in Spanish Civil War which was effectively Hitler's training ground, wir wurden alles Deutches sprechen

dont know where u r getting propaganda from? the propaganda everyone of us is exposed to everyday is zionist, neo-con and in support of the status quo, quite opposite to what us so called 'la la land trotskyists' are saying.

wether we have been to US or not is of no relevance, I've never been to * Germany seeing as it too collapsed 56 years before I was born but i do know a fair bit about it.

America will fall, it may be sudden or it may fizzle out but when my children or their children are grown up, they will be living in a world where the People's Republic of China is numero uno.

How do you know nobody on this thread has been to America or not ? Or indeed what relevance that has to the question of " Will America Collapse " ?
I have lived in America before. I have worked and travelled State to State in 24 different fucken States, so I think I am well versed enough to know what I am talking about here. America is on its knees just now under Obama, and I would give it two years at the most before it totally fucken collapses. See if I am right.

z-4 milan babic agreed to it in 95. for the integration of RSK into the croat state whilst perserving serbian autonomy, babic reached a breakthrough with galbraith. then croatia rejected z4 and launcehd oulja.

invading, are you talking about croats in the JNA?

herzeg bosna as in it was to become part of croatia, tudjman and milosevic were going to partition it on ethnic lines..it didnt happen because of izbetgovic. the serbian govt have no problem with croats living in serbia. the serbian govt never kicked them out.

but what gives the croat govt the right to cleanse the krajina with americas help. the croats wanted their own state and they got it, the serbs did to , but people call it greater serbia, which has never existed.

the JNA by all accounts were an army trained in defensive manouvers, nobody told them post 1945 that surrounding a town and shelling it may not look good to the rest of the world. However why didnt the croat paramilitaries help the civillians leave vukovar?..the paramilitaries barricaded themselves inside houses and shot at the army..the army wan't going to sit around..

those civillians were wounded in the crossfire..as for a million projectiles on a place like vuvivar, it would have been razed..vukovar was still standing after the fight..a million projectiles cant do that.

ive said it many times before, there were individuals who did things that shouldnt have been done, thats not to say the country or people as a whole are bad.

vukovar and srebrenica..i could say the same about gospic.

sigh..i agree with you this threaD should be locked

    agree to disagree.

The US won't collapse. There's too much vested interest in it to its debt collectors.

The reason the USSR collapsed isn't because it was IN DEBT to other powers. It was because its debtors, the satellites that owed it money, were collapsing all over the globe, and refusing to pay back their debts to Moscow, and abandoning communism and holding hands with the west to shake off the Russians. And the Soviet military was too overstretched to keep them all in check and in their control.

The United States is in the opposite position. The government owes trillions of dollars to other powers in the world, such as to the globalist banksters and the PRC. They're not going to let the country just go to pot and collapse, they have a vested interest in its future. They use its position of military strength in the world to their advantage. What you are going to see over the next few years is less importance in "The United States of America" and more importance in "North America". North America, or something similar to the North American Union, is going to mirror what is going on, on the other side of the pond, with the European Union. And all of the people here are going to lose, basically. We'll get the pleasure of having our currency and standard of life downgraded to find a median ground with the poorest people in Mexico.

Goodbye sovereignty and hello global elite few sitting around roundtables in fancy marble buildings with translators deciding everyones future. Its the way of the future.

This is just what I (and many others) see down the road. (At least by 2050 or so.) But no, you won't see a USSR-style collapse in the next decade. Don't count on it.

The guy's premise was off. Not traveling to the US has as much meaning as the fact that you have worked in "24 different fucken states." Meaning - none. Economically it doesn't make sense, it will at least be propped up as a proxy for World Bank. You are a raving nationalist, and nationalists are usually unable to see the forces at work behind the nations. Just because the US is in trouble doesn't mean it will fail, it's too big to fail at the current moment. The US is too important to Latin America, Europe, and China right now - these areas will attempt to wean themselves from trade with the US before they let it collapse, if it indeed comes to that. The two year mark just shows a complete naivety to world economics because there's no way these regions could lower trade with the US to a point where they would allow it to collapse. China is actually in the process of this but it'll be 10 years minimum before a US collapse is beneficial for that country.

stalin let down the communists in the spanish civil war, slaughtered the partisan groups after the second world war,and dismembered poland along with hitler and massacred the officer class at katyn, and would have gladly sat on the side and accepted any titbits of territory from hitler, the sacrifice of the russian and slavic people against both hitler AND stalin will never really be fully appreciated by the world, but i say again would you or any other sane person on this board rather live under communist, chinese or muslim autocratic rule.the freedom even to express your opinions on this board would leave you open to arrest and imprisonment,a lot of hot air is spouted about america, america was the factory that world war two was won by,and the only guarantee of peace in the 50 years after the war against soviet aggression.i think history speaks for itself on those points
