I would say Roosevelt for his decision to wage war against germany and japan and save the brits from total defeat in the battle of britain.
If the USA would have stayed out of the war we would all be communist right now in europe and the worlds economy would be a mess. Hitler really had little influence because he only dominated europe for 4 years. Roosevelts decision dominated europe and the world for the majority of the century. So did the USA after that and became a superpower due to world war II. As still of today the most influental country in the world. So Roosevelts decision was more critical than any decision of any leader in the 20th century in terms of shaping the majority years of the century.

Ferdinand's car registration number on the day of the assasination was 111118 as in 11th of November 1918. It wasn't even supposed to be Princip that done it, some other guy throw a grenade first but it bounced of the front of the car and onto the road.

Is that true about the registration? If so, what a co-incidence... how perculiar. I know about the earlier attempt that day, but Princip's bullet found its mark, so it is his name that lives in infamy down the ages.

Actually, Japan attacked Pearl Harbour, so of course Roosevelt's response was to declare war on Japan. Although the US had been secretly providing financial support for Britain during the early stages of WWII, it was Hitler who declared war on America, not the other way around.
