Well Done Derry City. I'm very surprised that they got that result. I heard that PSG are having player problems with Dhorasoo and Cissé, did they play or did they get left in France?

Absolutely great result for Derry City and overall the Eircom League teams have been getting a few more results in Europe over the past few seasons. Obviously the standard of the Eircom League is improving. Probably not much chance of getting a result in Paris but well done Derry City on some good solid progress.

If Derry beat Paris, it would be an unreal result. I hope they beat them

I hope for a 1-1 draw or whatever benefits Derry. Would love them to come to switzerland for a group stages game.

I certainly hope they do or get score draw which would be enough as well. Realistically it is not going to happen. But hey that's why they play the games.

Derry City will certainly go into the second leg in Paris in good form as they just beat Shelbourne on penalties in the Irish league Cup Final. Second year in a row they have won the Irish League Cup and seventh time in total.

Psg had problemes (again) yesterday against Nancy, at Parc Des Princes, and Dhorasso is going to be failed, he is scrambled with the coach...but Psg has players as Pauleta who may strike everytime.

    P.S. sorry for my english...

No treble for Derry City this year. Dublin side Shelbourne just niped in to win the title on goal difference. Both sides were level on points going into the last game. Derry City scored early and held on to beat Cork City 1-0. While Shelbourne had a local derby against north Dublin rivals Bohemians who actually took an early lead but Shelboure came back to win 2-1 and win the title on goal difference. To be fair Shelbourne who have won the title 13 times have been the dominant force in the league in recent years winning 3 of the last 4 titles. Heart breaking though for Derry City.

Congrats to Derry City on an excellent season just finished this past weekend. They won the FAI Cup for the fourth time beating Dublin side St Patrick's Athletic 4-3 AET. 3 times Derry came from behind. No treble but a cup double added to their UEFA Cup efforts well done to Derry City.
