who should play alongside gravesen.?

who should play alongside gravesen in the centre of midfield.

vote and thoughts.?


maybe lennon or sno will allow gravesen in the more advanced role he craves or evehn maybe caldwell in front of defense when bobo is back as hes played that position well for scotland in the past and can pass a good ball aswell... but i vote jarosik for now see if he comes good we could be formidable as gravesen and jiri can track back and attack unlike lennon... with 2 quality wing men on either side.

 

Lennon any day of the week, especially as the others are more attacking (excluding sno - who i think is one for the next couple of seasons) and to have 2 attacking midfielders (Gravesen and jarosik/pearson) would just be an invite for other teams to attack and score more goals!

Lennon does his job very well in my opinion

 

Jarosik for me. Would have voted Naka if he was there though.

I would have to go with Jarosik. Both he and Gravesen are both good going forward obviously but they can also track back and make tackles and at the end of the day I think they are the best 2 center mids we have. Maybe Jarosik can sit in a little more.

 

Where is Nakamura?

 

I think WGS has signed Gravesen as a more forward thinking midfielder than some believe. If Naka was playing alongside him he would have to sit in, break up play and tackle back (everything that Naka doesn't do)

 

the reason i never put naka in the poll as he normally and is a left or right sided MF. wide player naturally and not central... thats why he is left out of the poll.the same applies with maloney/mcgeady.

i think lennon could really play well along side big tommy he is quite attacking and the too of the on the park would make any midfielder * his pants

 

has to be jarosik simple as, although he'd need to up his game cause he hasnt been on great form of late

 

Jarosik and Gravesen would be a powerful combination IMO.

 

Tommy Grav and another attacking midfielder just doesn't work so it has to be Lennon by default. I think that's what GS will go with too.

Gravesen is not an attacking midfielder!!...yes he can attack but his role is usually a holding midfielder and at real he played just in front of the back four usually (when he got a game lol)

 

Gravesen only became a holding midfielder when he went to Madrid! WGS, Lennon and Grav himself have all said that he is here to attack.

 

When tam g was at everton he played a more attacking role and he excelled in it hence the interest from one of the biggest clubs in the world and look what happens when he does go to madrid!! He gets played in a more defensive role and he ends up hardly getting a game!! If Madrid played him were everton played him chances are we might not have him now. So i would have to go with Sno to play alongside him to allow him a wee bit of freedom to express himself while sno sits back a bit and if sno does feel the odd urge to forge forward then big tam can cover his * by sitting back as they are both capable in both roles. Just my humble opinion
