I was just away to write that. I sit in 111 as well and i didn't even hear the rangers till they went 2-1 up. Some people in the section stopped singing after rangers scored and some were still trying to sing and jump around like usual and some just didn't know what to do. Although i was kind of expecting that to happen as it was the first celtic v rangers match with everyone in the section.

If my gf hadn't been with me I would have. I did get my own back when he was talking nonstop and I told him if I wanted match commentary I would have stayed in the house to watch it, which shut him up. * me off to think these part-time fans think they run the show.

its really bugs me when people go to the games and sit on there * and shout abuse at the team ok al admit that every1 has a go but the people who do it every week and dont sing a peep may aswell stay home and watch it on the telly like i had to do they just waste valuble sits who hundreds want to go and support Celtic we just have to accept they were the better team today the game could have been diffrent if broadfoot didnt dive the cheating hun we just have to move on to the next game v st johnstone and we will get them back at ibrox in january.

I thought the atmosphere was great first half, and was actually was quite dissapointed in the rangers fans. You should judge the supports when it is level and during the period when it was 0-0 (and 1-1) we totally outsung them. There was a 13-15 minute period where they were not heard at all! The telly showed them bouncing at 3-1 which is * imo as it is no where near a reflection on the noise battle on the stands. The noise level and incredible amount of colour at the start of the game is one of our few positives, the celtic fans mentality is changing slowly but surely - everyone is getting more involved than ever and alot of credit must go to the GB for this.:50:

I don't know if the atmosphere was any better nearer the GB but I was at the other side of the stadium and thought it was pretty poor for an Old Firm game to be honest.

Granted it was better than most SPL games but when we went down 2-1, I expected our crowd to be even louder - as that's when our team need the support most. Sadly this wasn't the case and I could hear the huns over us.

To be fair, you don't get anything like a true impression of the atmosphere when you watch it on tv but I still expected a better reaction from the fans when we went behind

All the hype and so on before the game, i thought it was going to be a fantastic atmosphere everyone was up for it... Then the game starts and it's quite in the stands...

totaly, only time you see the GB is when your at the games, wasnt there today, camera panned round and just as the GB came up it cuts away, was telling my burd about them but she never got the chance to see them.

I think the medias got it into their heads that their some sort of hooligans or something.
anyone think that maybe since the GB started a lot of people think its no longer their responcibility to sing. maybe they think the GB can do it all by themselves?
    just a thought

The atmosphere for Rangers games at Celtic Park have been sub-standard for years now. The last decent one was in the 3IAR season.
