I was also watching his program yesterday on ITV. Really sad news.:54:

And yea like someone already said, the stingrays tail pierced his heart. He got pulled back onto the boat and an Ambulance helicopter flew out to his boat but he was dead before they arrived.:54:

RIP Steve Irwin and deepest sympathies to your family.

Sad news he was a great personality im sure so many peoples thoughts will be with him.

Its quite ironic though, the amount of crocks, gators, and deadly snakes he handled and it was a usually harmless stingray that killed him:54:

Good educator on tv and was very entertaining as well. Was very passionate about animals and his job. Unfortunately this was always going to happen sooner or later. RIP Steve.

it was only a matter of time before something happened, TBH he was trading his luck at times, but he died doing something he loved doing.

R.I.P Steve. our thoughts are with your family.:rip_1:

imo he went face to face with crocodiles , pythons etc and other vicious creatures ,, yet he was in the water and gets done by a stingray wich could have happened to anyone ... a bit ironic after all the stuff hes put himself risking.. but just shows ya the risks the guy took ... the guys a legend tbh.

Very sad that he passed, but I have to feel that there's really no other way he could have gone. Sad but sort of romantic, like a warrior dying in battle. 80 year old Steve Irwin would have been much more tragic I feel. Sorry for his wife and kids though.

What is the matter with you all? The guy was a * nutjob who dangled his baby over crocodiles, it was only a matter of time before he copped it. The only pity is that it wasn't a crocodile biting off his heid.

    or
