i was a definate doubter but, unless the huns win 5-0 or something,i think lenny has proved a capable manager and should be cut some slack even if we lose on sunday-if strachan spent our money as prudently we'd prob still be champions

wouldnt say im a doubter, more of a worrier because this means so much to him and to see him doing so well, it makes me delighted, it couldnt have happened to a more patriotic man and any doubts ive had are definetly gone

only worried that we havent learned our lesson on how to play against rangers,if we play the same formation as against dundee utd we will not beat them unless we score first.

Europe was an absolute shambles, let's not forget that. Will have a better idea after the Old Firm game and once the titled has been decided.

Got to a agree with markybhoy here too many games strachans teams had like 2/3 shots on target for 90 mins, need I mention Zonal marking and he also signed far too many duds.

Most people had some doubts, I think he has done brilliant so far, he brings the best out in the players, I think if we beat Rangers on Sunday most doubters will become believers in lenny.

    Doh!!

Read the thread title "Are The Lennon Doubters Happy Yet?"

    And answered yes...

to the question "Do you Still doubt Lennon as manager of Celtic?"

So you can disregard one yes from me. Neil Lennon's had an astounding run, where it counts in the SPL. Europe will come in good time we don't need the distraction right now, worked for a certain Mr Strachan. However Lenny is doing better against a better more determined Rangers team. Hail hail!

Agree with most of what you're saying: for example it was a huge gamble, impressed me most with his eye for a player, avoided the outmucle-em long-ball MON thing etc.

Just two things I'd take issue with.

Firstly, I think the gamble was justified, because of the ratio of what was being risked to what the potential gains might be. A manager who would cost a lot less in the short term, would be unlikely to demand a big payoff if it didn't work out, but crucially - a manager who might turn out to be great, and if he did, could bring us success for a decade to come. Any of the other serious candidates, if they had managed to pull off a glorious tranformation, would have been off to the EPL within a season or two. That's not the case with Lenny, and Desmond knew that.

Other thing is, we won't have any better idea of his calibre after the Old Firm game. Old Firm games tell us next to nothing about the quality of a team or manager: they are total one-offs, with little relevance to how we'll perform against other SPL teams, and even less to how we'll perform in Europe. These games are important to fans, but their relevance to the bigger picture - as anything but a temporary morale boost - is minimal.

I don't care if the formation is the same, the style is nothing like the style under Gordon Strachan. If it was the same I would have felt bored watching us under Neil Lennon and I haven't felt that. Neil Lennon has us moving the ball round at speed and closing down the opposition. Gordon Strachan had us strolling round the park at walking pace and sitting off the opposition. That's why I kept falling asleep.

The tempo of the football is higher under Lennon than it was under Strachan and I for one am very happy about that. It's not perfect but it's definitely an improvement.

He has shown over his short time with Celtic the big changes he could make. For a start he has made 5 or 6 great signings, for example Juarez, Stokes, Kayal and Hooper, and he has also brought in Cha and Ledley on frees. these players are quality additions to a side that lacke key players last year. Last season we had N'Guemo, who was awful and Keano saved us from doing any worse. This season, Lenny has got a strong side and has instilled a lot of confidence in them. He is also brilliant with the fans and you cannot argue against his league record, having never lost a game. I think if he continues doing the job he is doing with great passion, we can go very far this year and win the treble.

he is doing a brillaint job in my opinion. last year he inherited a team of losers and bottlers who couldnt care less about wearing the hoops. he has bought some very good signings eg hooper stokes juarez izaguirre ledley majstronovic. mowbrary had all the experience in the worlds and loock where that got us. no matter what happens on sunday everyone shud stick with lennon because he has the passion and will have parkhead back bouncin again! i think everybody forgets the oppostion we face in europe who play at a much higher domestic standard and have far more money to spend on and pay players...bring on the huns! HAIL HAIL

I am glad to see that his SPL record so far is perfect but I want to see how he can handle himself over a season, Mowbray started well too, and under lenny we have been knocked out of 2 european compitions before september. So I chose more time to decide

Agree with this post mate, the huns will counter attack and pick us off if we play as attack minded on sunday.

Yeah im happy with Lennon because Celtic are winning ,forget Europe in my view that was best left alone as it was to early and the transfer market was'nt even closed but it was there own doing anyway in playing these games .

The League is the big one this season and Lennon knows this ,rangers going for 3 in a row with the mess there in is unthinkable and again money getting pumped into them in the champs league ,all we are doing is covering there * and helping in repaying there debt, this cant happen this season.

Lennon has really surprised me in the players he has brought in ,how many different nationalities are in there ? a good few so he has a good scouting system on the go ,the football is pleasing on the eye aswell ,quick ,crisp passing and the players know there role and there fitness looks spot on ,they fight for the 90mins .

I cant say ive seen a game this season so far that Celtic have looked shaky in ,Dundee Utd game was won in the last few minutes but overall Celtic commanded that game and well we seen some dodgy decisions against us but i dont like this attitude that this Sunday is Lennons judgement day ,its one game out of 4 that we play them ,these games do go along way in winning the League but to Judge the Manager on this is unfair ,anyway he has already done them last season .

We all seen what Lennon walked into when he took over ,the place was a mess and the fans had walked in large numbers but how he got that team playing and not losing another game in that League was a feat in itself but he got blowing out the water in the Cup against Ross County ,many said time to get experience in but Celtic opted for Lennon ,brave move considering he was going up against Walter and 3 in a row but i firmly believe now that the Board have got the right man in charge ,all the best to him because one thing for sure with Lennon ,you will get 100% effort from him every week .

never did doubt him, knew from when he played the type of mentality he has would go a long way in management.

Hands up I didn't want him.

Great start but I will answer after the game on sunday.

He's definitely reunited the clubs with the fans.

He's doing a very good job so far, but he has still not won anything. if he wins the title, Lennon will be a success, if not, he'll be a failure. time will tell.
