good point mate but i think our team looked like a... erm... team today... one week ago during inverness game they were *... every single celtic player was playing his own fitba... there was the celtic but there was no team... 2 new players made that we looked much more sharp today... that's building the team IMO. example... Kenny Miller... i like this guy really much... i like his great workrate but he doesn't fit to team so far... he can't co-operate with our players... i hope it will change soon

forgot to write... yes... something must be done with our defence... i think signing naylor was a first move to make our defence solid...

yea, me too. don't get me wrong, I truly, truly hope (and partly believe) that good times are ahead. Strachan could end up as either a zero or hero (to steal your phrase!) in that he could blend some of our own homegrowns with some shrewd buying to produce a celtic team to remember.. if he can come of age in this job then he could be a legend! I am thinkin along the lines of how * we were in the late 50's and early sixties before we embarked on a claer out policy and attempted to take a new direction under another wee krankie scot.. the rest is history!

would love it if we started to mould into a team which could frighten opponents at home and abroad!

    hail, hail :celt_2:

never thought like that... that's why used words 'SO FAR'. I believe kenny's good enough to play in starting line up...:50:

Think everyone would like to see their manager become a legend of the club i mean we even wanted Lou Macari to become a legend because that would have meant he turned it round.

i suppose you're right there mate! not many footie fans praying for thier manager to be muppets!

just that we have seen some glimpses of the fast, fluent football that he envisages and that his wacky style might end up making him very memorable (i hope in a good way!).. would live to be posting mental strachan quotes as avatars in 40 years time after we had done 10 in a row and won in europe again! if he can just grasp that his teams always look wooly in the middle (and he ain't a stupid man!) then he could develop into a guy we want to stick around..

    hail, hail :celt_2:

I agree and all i think wrong with GS is his backroom team, I really dont like Pendrey because i sat at the game today and i noticed Lee Naylor picking up an injury around 55 mins he was limping for most part of the game after that but yet Pendrey didnt seem to notice and didnt make the change (GS wasnt in the bench area). The only thing of significance that Pendrey has done all season was get into a fight with McGlynn which got Strachan suspended in the first place

Definitely good times ahead. Too many people giving Strachan a lot of guff when he's really done quite well considering almost a 100% turnover from the team that made it to the 2003 UEFA Cup final. Nobody else in Scotland has come close to landing the names WGS has (Naka, Zurawski, Boruc, JVoH). He's made the team, give him a chance to use it well.

for its a grand auld team to play for
Well Gravessen is NOT here yet and may not come, Caldwell is weak, Lennon is slow, our goalies a fairly good, we finally I believe have a striker that can score, Petrov I believe is oot the windae, GS lately is a bit suspect to me in what team and players he plays, and some of his comments to the press about the forthcoming games CL etc I find a wee bit on the negative side, whether its thought to be rightly or wrongly, all in all we have potential, but unfortunately its not here yet, and it may be too late?
