both of them will slide tackle and maybe stick the odd foot in but , i dont think they would be fully committed in a 50/50 challenge with the likes of players such as maj

Don't know why they'd be tackling their own man :52:

Maloney never shied away fae Tokely in the first game of the season against Inverness and that guy's quite a beef cake and both him and Forrest also take their lumps and give them out on either side of the midfield, both very tough, brave and tricky players :50:

Depends on the situation. I like intelligent players, who will commit fully to a challenge when there is a good reason for doing so (either tactical or psychological).

The problem with charging in for every 50/50 ball is that 50/50 is always a judgement call - sometimes you will find yourself diving in on a 40/60 ball, the other player will be clearly in first, and you'll have earned yourself a yellow. That's why players like Brown - who charge in for absolutely everything - are such a * liability.

You saw it with Ki the other day - he's obviously been told to put himself about more, but as a result he went in with a * shocking tackle, and was lucky not to get a straight red.
