    Thats better

but seriously i do agree with what you said, they have too many players who arent cut out for the level excepted for the club by the fans, but nothing will happen unless new owners, are found. Then they can afford to invest in bringing in a few quality players to go with the core players like Gerrad Torres etc

Liverpool were always going to fall apart once Xabi Alonso left, he was absolutly instrumental to the way they played. Its a sad state of affairs when they had the chance to win the league a few years ago and now there at the stage where Champions league is a huge bonus.

Its just shows how poor running of a club, can result in the wrong attitudes in the players, and the wrong players staying and the players needed leaving. They were quite lucky this didnt happen earlier, many times they have been saved by a gerrad or torres final minute goal

Kuyt? Shows you know nothing. Liverpool will not become Leeds. We just need time to gel under Hodgson

FFS. it was the league cup man. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon

Those clubs will be there or there abouts for continental places in their leagues, i reckon

Liverpool aren't looking that good lately. My worry is, everybody knows Hodgson is the right man for the job, but will he be given the time? He needs more than a season but if they hover around 5th-8th mark which is very possible, I'm sure he won't last the season, which is the worst thing that could happen to Liverpool.

Think Liverpool are in for a tough time in the forseeable future. Shame really as just a few year ago the liverpool fans were trying to form a group to buy the club or own at least 50% of it I think it was . Since the arrival of the americans the debt is so high now that its unrealistic. Really like Liverpool , They get a raw dealdown there with the sterotype image of the people. Have been to lpool and they are warm friendly down to earth people . Hope they rise again and beat the mancs!!

Firstly liverpool will never do a leeds. leeds were spending money they didn't have. We have made more than we've spent in each of the last three years. We are in demise no getting away from that. We will struggle until the ownership issue is resolved. We still have a good spine of players Reina,Carra,Johnson,Agger,Poulsen,Meireles,Gerrard,Kuyt,Cole,Torres but as Tuesday proved after our first eleven we have no depth whatsoever. The best we can hope for is to win the europa league stay in the top 8 at least and once we get our ownership sorted can we go forward as a club.

would you welcome a takeover such as city/chelsea considering the stick they get for it ?
Or would you rather you worked your own way back up which would take longer.

I'd rather work our way up slower with the debt managable and possibly some work on the new stadium.

Juventus are a world class team, and it wouldnt take much for them to be back on their game. They need to just start playing as a team, with the passion, Del Piero is their Ryan Giggs and He needs to be on the field starting most games.

I have no answers for the disappointing run of Liverpool though.

Bang on mate ,we all know about there money woes from the owners and Hodgson hands are tied for the moment but he is a fantastic manager and the man to change them around but will he be given time ,Liverpool have'nt won anything in a few years so Hodgson hasnt got that hanging over him but just the name Liverpool doesnt help him as they are a world wide brand who should be winning .

If the owners decide to move on and whoever comes in provides a kitty for Hodgson he will turn them around ,i would have loved to have seen Celtic go for him when Mowbray left but at that time i think Fulham were in the Q/F of the Europa League ,he has been about and is spoke about as a top manager ,Liverpool need this man and shouldnt press the panic button on him ,given time and money Liverpool could challenge for the League down there within 3-4 seasons .

There was so much optimism around both of these teams at the start of the season as well, with Juve signing a raft of good players and Liverpool signing some good midfielders as well. It takes times for teams to gel however and it doesnt help both teams have to rebuild their side at the start of just about every season

Yeah I agree. It's Hodgson who's going to take the fall for any issues on the pitch but the real culprits are the owners who are undermining everything. Shame really because this is surely Hodgsons last big gig..
