They werent * hot by any stretch.. Man U were rubbish as they have been since Celtic scared them in Old Trafford.. It was a poor display from both teams!!!

 

I'm really looking forward to seeing the games against Benfica. It will be two good footballing teams against each other and with the pressure on Benfica as they can't afford to lose at CP and fall 5 points behind us with their game at OT still to come.

 

And Copenhagen away...

 

Benfica drew 0-0 in Copenhagen.

 

We are significantly better than Benfica, Man Utd were shockingly bad last night saved by ONE moment of brilliance that had its fair share of luck.

 

Well the bottom line is we have a huge opportunity within our grasp to make the last 16. No way our Copenhagen going to get anything at Old Trafford so if we can beat Benfica at home then we have a 5 point edge with 3 to play.
I though the Benfica game last night was awful. Man U were very poor in midfield and attack and Benfica had the ball for long spells but they never really got behind the Man U defence who played well and to be honest seemed quite well in control most of the night. All Benfica managed was a few long range efforts and not much else. All in all it was a crap game to watch.
Benfica I am sure will raise their game and play well when they play us as they know their Champions League lives depend on not getting beaten but the reality is we are at home and they are not a better team then we are and if we are to earn the right to make the last 16 then this is the game we need to go out and win.

Sl benfica have what I think the most amazing beautiful stadium in the world just look palm trees and a pond

Amarado-Midfielder
Rui costa-midfielder
Simao-Midfielder

These are benficas main players that I know of they are a very defensive team and stike at counter attack and pressing

They normally play 4-2-3-1 also could be knowen as 6-3-1

So the edge is to get 1 or 2 goals quickly then donimate the game

 

watched the benfica vs man utd game .. and benfica dominated man utd for large spells .. copenhagen this aint . so we will have to raise our game again as expected .. im confident we can win this one tho at cp .. hopefully a draw away to benfica .. 4 points from this team would surely take us thru i feel... gonna be tough tho .. they can pass the ball etc well and have pace in thier side , but so have we ....some very decent players , simao , nuno gomes , petit ,rui costa altho was injured last game but could be fit to face us... but we can hurt them for sure aswell...

looking forward to these definitive 2 games back to back.

according to the club website the game was completely sold out on the monday before the match. i saw a few empty seats mate.. but the club were saying you couldnt buy tickets on the monday.. must have been a few no shows..

Yeah Rui Costa will be a massive blow for us, he came on second half on our last game and we managed to score 3 more goals, clearly showed that he is important to us. (even though we were playing a newly promoted team)

I'll be travelling to Glasgow for our away match, and simply can't wait! My ride on the way back is the next morning and a few of us will be outside all night, advisable not to wear our colours? Or will it be generally safe?

It's gonna be a tough match for us, but I would be happy to get some kind of a result in the end, as long as we give a fight, it's all good.
