Listening to the beautiful ballad Joe McDonnell...the lyric "You have terrorized their people , You ruled with an iron hand , And you brought this reign of terror to my land" seems to have taken a new meaning with all the * going on now that we have created

Every time I listen to this it makes me hanker for Glasgow and the Gallowgate. Love it so much.

Can someone explain this lyric to me?

My favourite reb is Grace. There a line in the song "I loved so much that I could see his blood upon the rose". I don't get that. Can anyone help?

I love this song. But the best bit is not the actual song. It's the intro. The thought that a Brit soldier stood there with is gun and looked at Connolly and didn't want to do it because he respected Connolly as a man. How could you not? Connolly was a great man. One of the THE great Socialists.

James Connolly would be immensely proud of the #MatchthefineforPalestine campaign. I know that.

Old Irish Folk Song. A Dublin lad lost his woman to a man with skin "as black as coal". Is that racist? Some dumb * will say it is. Nah it's not.

Paddy better get his colour chart out again. lol

    Great song.

I always thought it was blood upon the road? That doesn't really help the meaning though if I'm right

Anyone else listen to Rebs outwith game days/run up to a game?

    I've recently went Reb daft.

Walking the dug? Rebs. In the gym? Rebs. Staying later in work? Rebs.

Should change my name to Rebsy Blinker.
