if u did then u wouldnt be slating our own centre back?

and if u say mcmanus is our best gimme some of the drugs ur taking, the boys *, aye he scores, but ad rather have a centre back that doesnt lunge into tackles and stops the attacks!

    bobo does that

Our team keeps more clean sheets with Balde in there than when he's missing. Thats all that matters

We'd be f@cked if Balde missed the CL. Believe me, Caldwell and McManus would be torn to shreds.

lets be honest if it wasnt for the fact that o neill saddled us with balde by giving him an outrageous contract (way above his standing) he would have been punted years ago....no wonder we couldnt get rid of him ..no club in their right mind would pay anything like hes getting...balde has cost this club a lot or have you forgotten seville ?or against lyon or villareal?...I find it astonishing so many in here think balde is good ......I m praying he gets ebola!...he must be laughing at us..£28.000 a week?

when will people ever stop looking for * culprits, xy cost us that game and that and that...

with an attitude like that you wont be very successfull in life. we have to find solutions and not pointing a finger at somebody all the time.

And bobo is our best solution for our still very weak defence.

some of you become more and more childish with your bobophobia.

pfff mcmanus slept with a centre half , bobo dragged him through last season , we could just do with a another good centre half with a football brain 2 go in beside him 2 talk him through his game like back in the days when we had mjalby .

Doesnt matter where you live or how many games you got to see in CP, his opinion is just as valid as anyone else.

i think your right there, if we had a good experienced centre half next to mcmanus week in and out, he'd do the same as big Marc Reiper did for Alan Stubbs.

Hubert - Was there any need in posting 4 times in a row? In future keep the post as 1, cheers.

Also, we do need Balde back in the team, Caldwell is absolute pish and McManus isnt performing at the moment. Bobo is the best defender we have.

constantly pumping big high balls up the park to 2 midget strikers? * playing football with you man. that wouldn't be much of a game - especially if you were a midfielder your neck would be killing you watching the ball for 90 mins

Catch a grip Hubert andsave your rolling eyes for your own comments. Sure football is not Sumo Wrestling nor WWE but muslce is required you numpty! Have you ever played football? Did you ever watch how Martin O'Neill's Celtic physically overpowered Rangers to the league title? Same as the Rangers team that won 9 in a row over Celtic. Muscle is required. If it wasn't we could have 11 Nakamuras or 11 flashy players.

A physical presence is required. It's a mans game. If a muscle wasn't required we could throw kids into the game.

You speak very critically of what we have but the realism is we can't get players like Cannavaro, Nesta or Terry for centreback. We have Bobo Balde who has saved us a * of a lot more than what he's cost us. Now wise up and start talking some sense before you * everyone off.

GS has a few big decisions to make. I couldn't separate Bobo, Caldwell and McManus TBH. The lot have different attributes but none is particulary better than the other.

Umm, good reasoning and points there Hubert. McManus can play football because Balde can't. Excellent. I see what you mean.....not. :87:

I'm not slating McManus, he's doing alright, but in my opinion we will be a lot better with Balde there.

personnally i dont fancy going into a champions league game with no-one in the back 4 having any experience, thats a disaster right there. so for that reason alone we ned the big man. balde and mcmanus for me, the big man makes some mistakes but the facts dont lie, with bobo in defence we loose less goals.

Nobody is saying that Bobo is like Maldini, but we have lost goals already this season (including the weekend against ICT) from not dealing with set pieces. Bobo gives the defence and the whole side a physical presence which we badly lack when he's missing. I agree that he is overpaid but you cannot question his commitment to the side when playing. As soon as he is fit I would put him straight back into the side.
